Real life game

Didn't quite know where to post this. But this seems about right lmao.

The other night I went to a party and the main thing that attracted me was the talk of poker players being in attendance (not pros, but you know, people that can play.) So I brought my chips and a deck of cards expecting a good game.

I'm a just run through what happened here.

About 11 o'clock 6 of us sat down for a game. This consisted of Me, Daylightdims, a poker playing buddy and three players that play poker at our local (real money).

First hand. I put in the small blind. the guy next to me who's a frequent player asked me what I was doing... I don't know if you've ever had some one come up to your door step and take a dump - but I imagine that's about how I felt. And it's not as if he's a draw player, where the blinds are determined weird, he specificly said he only plays hold 'em. So I swiftly explained the blind system to him. Daylightdims shuffles up and deals. I get my ass AK suited.

The aformentioned guy has J3. He pushes I call and swiftly eliminate him.

The next hand, I have to explain the blind system to another so called player. He splashes the pot (that winds me up so bad) and bets 10 ... minimum bet being 20 to match the big blind. So I have to explain to him that he has to bet higher than that ... he accuses me of cheating . Well I let it slide and carried on.. making sure he bet properly, called and raised properly etc etc.

The rest of the game was filled with bingo play by the two so called real money players, arguments over chips, stealing, frequent explanations .. and my bit by bit shortening fuse. This followed by daylightdims making an amazing move with AA knocking out a donkey - then me confusing the hell out of the friend with weird talk to win a big pot. Suffice to say at this point the three f us then went on to play well and eventually all of us went all in tro decide the winner so we could get back to drinking and what not.

Anyway the point of this is, I'm wondering, should I go join this poker place and whipe them out. I mean if they don't even know the blind system, surely it should be easy pickings .

The second point being, I was so let down by this that I just had to post it here in the bad beats section. I was expecting this amazing game .. and got ring table play ... with people less experienced than baby bloody chimps,

Is all poker like this out side of the big tournaments and online play? Because I wanna play, I don't want to sit there and watch donkey play after donkey play. It's not cool.

LOL TBird, I say you def go to the pub and wipe them out lol..I cant believe how patient you were I play real poker and its strictly by the rules, I 'm not sure what they are playing if they dont know what a blind is

My thinking exactly Aus .. and talking about rules; the cheeky ... person... kept picking up folding cards and looking. The other guy would say "ARGHH I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE PLAYED THAT 94"

have to agree with ds as some places like that make their own rules to keep game simple, and if u do go n play make sure u have back up for the car park lol
