Do you mean anyone with a poor looking hand should not be allowed to call and see a flop JImmy. I've noticed that you can have ' the hot seat' sometimes and whatever hand you have the flop will back it up, if he thought he had that seat maybe he was playing the odds. If not he wouldn't last long as you know, I'm sure we've all won with poor hands, perhaps you were just a victim of luck mate, the bad variety in this case.

fred, i re-raised, he knows i'm quite a tight player, he went over the top with 9/3 off suite, i wouldnt even call to 20 from small blind with that.. absolute donk.....

Yep Jimmy your right, I wouldn't dream of calling a raise with 9 3, a call of 20 maybe but not such a big bet, but it takes all sorts i suppose, ninety nine times out of a hundred he would pay the price, sadly for you this was the odd one mate. unfortunately luck does take a part, skill can sometimes be cancelled out.

WOW, my first post in ages and im reacting to this. Im going to be harsh on Jimmy and say "what the hell did you expect with some of the *donks* you are referring to". There are people on this site who can play poker and understand position etc (of which you are one). there are people on this site who "get a feeling" and play with sh*t. I have virtually come to the end of my tether with the plays i have seen recently. And then to top it all i get called to f*ck by a player i respect for calling a one level raise with ace rag of hearts, hitting two hearts on the flop and then chasing my flush to the TURN - and im a "donk" apparently. i have now given up on the site completely and have decided to play the odd tournie here and there to chat to old friends.

I could liven this whole thing up by passing my player notes on and letting people know who i respect as a poker player, a player who understands the difference between OL and B&M poker, and the players who are bingo players but dont see it themselves.

Good luck to everyone - loads of good people i know but i dont expect to be on more than once a fortnight from now on as i have lost respect for the tournies that i did hold with high regard.

BTW - when i joined this site 2 and half years ago - i joined it to learn the game - not to get to 10,000,000 chips or whatever. I did learn the game by reading the forums and watching decent players play. That is why i will always stick to this site as a first point of call for a free game.

I will have to play at least once a month though or i might get the word "banned" next to my name

And as for 9,3, - i wouldnt call my mother in law with that!!!!!!!
