Default Very first game of poker: a king high flush?

My most upsetting beat ever was my very first game I played.

I still wasn't too sure what hands where what (I'm still not after only playing for two days) but I knew having a king and queen must be good.

So raise the max I could to 25. Great everyone calls it and the flop falls.
Jack, 10 and a two if I recall correctly.

I raise again, player three raises on that and everyone else calls including me.

Next card: a 9

Another round of raising, two people fold, and the pot is over 1000 chips, yay!

Next comes a 4 and I am grinning like a looney, just wanting to win my very first hand. Raises, folds and much waiting around follows..

And the hands are shown.
Me: 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King. Wooooohoooo, give me the pot!

Player three: 10, Jack, Queen, Kinge. Nooooooo!

And yet I still played on, and I am still loosing more than I win but atleast it's fun

Poker Hand Rankings Guide 4. List of Poker hand rankings

The Newbies section has a host of valuable information and if you have any questions ask at the tables or in here you will find most people helpful.

The most popular tournies on here are the 4 medal tournies which are held 6 hourly these are the Wombats 8am UK time, Hetmans 2pm, British Crown 8pm and NY Times 2am this is where the regular players all battle it out for points and gold medals and where you will meet most of the regular tournie players

We are a friendly bunch a little bit crazy but good fun.

Very unlucky but I'm glad it didn't put you off in anyway.
Best way to take a bad beat is on the chin and play on.
Keep smiling, tilt can be you biggest opponent

This is the first place I played poker and it can be a steep learning curve.

If you are ever unsure of how you lost/won a hand or wonder how you could have played it better, you can always look back at them using the hand history folder saved on your computer. You can copy and post it on the forum if you want advice or just to show off a monster hand.

You were always up against it, if the flop, turn river were J 10 2 9 4 as you posted, then the other player must have been sitting with 3 hole cards, the Q K A !!!

I smell a rat.

Flush fozzy, I just think Braedon got the end result a little wrong by adding his QK instead of two lower suited cards. JT94A of clubs
Just a guess mind you
