Question 3 weekly big ones... read here

hi all,

I've setup 3 weekly big tourneys now :
-The "Weekly Speed", 10k buyin : Based on Bazultra Fast mini-tourney.
-The "Weekly Mammoth", 500k buyin : Based on the mammoth tourney.
-The "Weekly Omaha", 1k buyin : Based on Omaha mini tourney.

All three are setup on saturday around afternoon/evening UK hour, do you think we should push one on sunday or to another time zone or keep things that way?

We'll have soon a monthly one for all big tourneys winners + players from any top15 (or another qualifying setup?), but I haven't coded yet the system for that.

'Lava

Yes, around the same time I bet... (2-3 hours delay based on the revolving structure of the other big tourneys)

But if someone think we should setup one on sunday or one much later for Aussie/western USA time zones, everything possible... Or even a revolving setup too for those?

Great initiatives.

As long as the same player can play them all, No need to postpone!

Dangerous night, tonight.

At the risk of sounding stupid, can I just ask how the weekly tournaments will work?

Revolving Structure, and or Tournament Schedules spread through out the day will be fine for everybody in different time zones. Only, we here at asia pacific region have I think a difference of 8-12 hours compared to US time.

Lava,

I know you can't please everyone. But since you asked, I kind of like the revolving schedules. I don't play as much as others on weekends, (family time).

Whatever you do, I'l play whatever is available.

Thanks again for the great site and your dedication to your thousands of worshippers!

I think there r a lot of Aussies on this site and it would be great to play a tourny at a decent hour. It's a little hard to work around the touny time's the way they r. I reckon a 20k buy in would be perfect for the NZ and AUS area,
maybe even Asia could get involved??? Leave it with u..I do think you've got a good idea there though.

Would have to agree with Flic . The hours can be tricky here in Aus . Thumbs up regardless .

I don't know yet what could be the best setup for those weekly ones... The stats aren't the same as 2 months ago (we were having 40% UK, 25% USA, 8% OZ) :

Last week statistics :
1. United Kingdom 33,19 %
2. United States 28,34 %
3. Australia 10,41 %
4. Ireland 3,35 %
5. Canada 3,12 %
6. New Zealand 1,81 %
7. Netherlands 1,36 %
8. Belgium 1,33 %
9. Philippines 1,26 %
10. Romania 1,24 %

So we have really 3 time zones to please and I'm sure Australian traffic will continue to grow, hard math as you see

Ok! so I've done a little research that might help you out Lava. These are 3 groups of very close time slots that should make the tourneys easy for everyone.

GROUP #1 - U.S.A , Canada

GROUP #2 - N.Z , Netherlands , Belgium
GROUP #3 - Australia , Philippines
Romania is in a different time but is closest to Australia..S I leave it with u.Hope this helps..Good luck

Errrm , curious to know what line of research you used if you think N.Z are in the same time Zone as Netherlands ?

I assume you meant U.K ?
