Default All in 1K new accounts

I am sure this has been posted before and I am sure it will be posted again but can something be done about new people coming into the game and constantly going all in with their 1k of chips at the first available moment, losing, then resetting their account and coming back in to do the same again?

I am not good enough to play at the higher standard but get so frustrated every time I go to a "lower" room and see that this is all that happens.

I appreciate that when you start playing for the first time you have to start at the bottom but for players like me, who are not brilliant but want to improve to try and challenge at a higher level, have to play on these lower levels but are not really learning because certain people are ruining it by constantly going all in and then refreshing their account.

Can something possibly be done?

Sorry about the long thread!

Hi mjrules,

I understand the frustration. However, these players are also an opportunity to learn how to milk bad players... If you master this technique, it will catapult you to middle tables within days. I can't wait for those silly people, cos they do not tilt me.

The first step is patience, the second is distinguishing good hands from bads hands at preflop and flop and the third is learning how to play according to your position (button, small blind, big blind, first to bet or other).

It is not that hard...!!! Once is the middle tables, you will be far from those moskitos !!!

Cheers !

I think it's not just the new players who do this. I'm sure I've seen some who buy straight back in after loosing an All In. This means they had chips in the bank and didn't have to do the reset procedure. In effect these people are giving themselves a pot limit. They don't risk all their money, but they get to see the river anyway.

I agree with the previous answer. These people are a source of easy money, once you learn how to play them. They don't completely go away on the higher tables either. Most will calm down once you or someone else keeps taking their money.

Personally I would not like to see changes to the site, such as making it harder to always get 1,000 chips. It allows you to experiment. When I started, I was arguably not betting high enough, for example. If you have a good hand from pre-flop, for example a pocket pair, you need to defend it early. You may want to raise pre-flop and play strongly after the flop in order to drive people out before the turn. The normal raise amount won't do that. You have to bet at least about half the pot for people to fold or perhaps even go all in.

My advice is to watch how people play. When they constantly raise, does it mean they have good cards or do they simply like to play high stakes? If it's the latter, fold early if you have bad cards, but play your good hands strongly and don't let them make you fold. Experiment. Take advantage of the free 1,000 yourself. Create a second user id. for playing loosely, if you want to keep your hard-earned chips in your main account. Also play some tournaments. The all-inis tend to be driven out early and can't come back to the table.

I say just enter a few newbie tourneys!

if some1 goes all in, in a newbie mini tourney they will very likely be straight out, which means you can then play and learn how you wish to. plus if you win a couple you will soon be at the mid priced tables!

Have fun
