Question Beginners Luck?

BEGINNERS LUCK?

I'm wanting to pose a question...?...First time in here...newly on line and loving my Poker...But I'm confused!...

If I had "stats" as a player you wouldn't believe them...In my first ever online tournament I was 84th out of 981...Amazing I thought...

Then as I was enjoying playing so much I found this site and its been good, bad, weird and entertaining...

My first attempts were pathetic...Having to constantly go back for 1000 to play again...mybe instinct or something cut in...but last night I was playing 800 point blinds on KK or TT or something?...and Heads Up a few times...and left with over 21000 points!

I've only been playing a week...don't know if seating positions, hands, luck or instinct are playing a part...but I feel I've lost out on the basics...I will probably loose all my stack...not that I want to...but can anyone answer me this...

Is it better to go back to basics...play on instinct?...Play with big players in big stakes games in here?...Or what should I do?...Only set a limit I'm comfortable with?...What?...Can someone in the know please advise?

I don't even know if I'm posting this correctly or in the right place...Some Soxace?...But at least I've had some Success!...

Thanx for reading...Cheers...Sox

Soxace, my suggestion to all players here, is to play the tournaments. I feel that the tournaments have a more disciplined style of play, rather than the Go For Broke of the ring games. I am sure there are others who feel just the opposite, they would prefer the adrenaline rush of the Ring tables over the calmer pace of the tournaments. It is all a matter of personal preference. General concensus throughout previous postings here, is roughly, don't buy-in with a bankroll less than 5 times the buy-in. That will help you determine your level of play (concerning tournaments , anyway).

Just play, you will soon figure out the level you should be playing.

Whats the worst that can happen ??? Lose your chips ?? OK go back, reset and start again.

Don't try and over analyse (?) it just get on the tables and have some fun.
