The number of chip bullies and all in dafties are annoying. Ive found the best way to handle chip bullies is to follow their raises and fold before your stack gets too low, build it up a bit and then when the smug gits are feeling all secure on top of their big stacks call their bluff and take it off them.

Don't you find that the higher the buy-in amount, the less chance there are of mavericks. They usually hang on the low maintenance tables and "Play big". I think the ones that make a nuisance of themselves are chancing it and not really playing poker!!!!!

Agree about all inners , but if you `re chip leader , its a legitimate tactic to bully , I dont mean ridiculous bets ,but enuf to make players think about taking you on ,mainly on tourney tables when theres achoice to be made ,to risk going out or not . no hard & fast rules about playing ,just go with instincts

If your confident about your hand then call 'em, if your not fold. There will always be people with loads of chips, but make it your game...if you got the hand set 'em up and make them call or fold. Remember to play strong and noone will bullie you..Stick to your guns and good luck..

good point smudge. it's a main stay of poker tactics that the chip leader makes u pay more to see the flop. not too much tho'. cos it basically reduces your stack to get rid of the low stackers. maybe a bit of wind up tactic to get the chip bullies to run where you dont want to. or is that a bit too deep 4 newbies
