You used to be able to donate credits to someone who was low so that they could get more chips. Is that any different?

You still can donate credits., but fortunately the credit converter has long since been removed. We have a new system now , called earning the right to play at High stake tables.

So to answer your question, in the old days technically it was no different, but now credits are just for fun, outlaws and betting against our resident bookmaker Street66

I should have said that I don't agree with chip dumping. its frustrating because people can make silly bets knowing that they will be able to top up again.

This brings up quite a serious question for me, firstly if we are talking about practice chips here then they are only cheating themselves, but then you talk about people collaborating outwith the table via phone or playing side by side, that's a worry if it happens when playing for real, but I think it would be very risky to try anyway.

I think there are a lot of competitive people who enjoy therie "Free" poker on this site that would completely disagree with that statement

2 players cant play for real cash on same table if using same ip adress. but its impossible to stop people cheating via phone line, or using different ip line. but i suspect these sorts of instances are far and few between. and 2 payers knowing each others hands wouldnt be a huge advantage on a table with more than 5 players..

As I see it there shouldn't be any need what so ever to even think about chip dumping, People that take part in this sort of caper risk losing everything. I think LAVA has introduced the "1000 Constant Chip Reloader" to deter people from chip dumping. So come on if you need chips then use the proper means provided. Steve.

To be fair, Steve... I don't think you can blame 'Lava for the unlimited rebuys on this script... it was part and parcel of the network he bought into... it doesn't make any sense... it wasn't part of the original script...

I have two questions for someone that is experienced to all this. ghf ? What does this mean? Am I being insulted? I felt like maybe an insult because I just came into a table and someone typed ghf 0.

Also, when I go to buy more chips, I am only allowed 500 or 1000. Others come back in with 13,000+. Someone went all in and lost. left and came right back with 13,000+. How do I get access to all my money at once?

Sorry if this is spamming but I couldn't find where to go to ask questions.

Lets hope that GHF meant Good Hand Friend

As for the re-buy this assumes that you have no chips left so the re-buy of free chips is the 1000, if they come back with more then they left the table and came back with more from the chipstack. Seems silly since you can buy back in at the table up to the table limit.

Not really. In the past you could convert forum credits to chips but on the current script that has been disabled for now. So chip dumping, as explained earlier, is when two people go to a table alone for the purpose of transferring chips from one player to another. This means they are not playing poker, they are both going all in so one can lose on purpose. This is not allowed.
