Chip Dumping

CHIP DUMPING

Intentionally losing chips to another player for the purposes of cheating.

Why Do People Chip Dump?

The most common reason for chip dumping is to aid a friend or associate at the poker table by giving him more chips.

Where is it done ?

It is done in tournaments so that the aided player will have a better chance to win

Its most common on heads up tables to give the frend the chips needed for another tournie, higher stake table etc.

IT IS AGAINST THE RULES OF THE SITE AND IS AN INSTANT BAN DON'T DO IT

How to Spot a dumper

The actual mechanics of dumping are quite simple. Players will either make stupidly large bets with terrible hands, expecting to lose to the accomplice, or make large bets/raises, only to fold on a later street to a tiny bet (a bet which any legit player would quickly call).

Ive been here for nearly 2 years and Ive only seen it happen once or twice and the players were banned, We are fortunate that 99.9% of the players here play fairly and want to win by playing well and not by cheating.

Havent seen this yet, will keep an eye out though. Its very sad that people get their kicks from building up chips by cheating instead of getting em through good poker. Without the good games behind em, chips are just numbers

I've seen many times.. 2 players on a table.. one raises nearly all in.. the other calls and then the first one folds..this happens over and over again..sometimes hundreds of thousands of chips given to the second player...I've sat as an observer and watched it happen and so have other people I know.My friend told me he even mentioned it to another player and was told to keep quiet as it was "none of his business".I think its often people who want to be able to play the higher tables but don't have the means. It's very unfair on the honest people who are forced to play the lower bingo tables to get their chips.

all you need to do is pass on the details to a moderator, names table time etc:

it is easy to check back and confirm, then appropriate action will be taken

I agree with the ban rule! If you have to dump chips to make your account stronger then what is the point of competing?? If you cant learn to play then try your hand at roulette. . . otherwise enjoy the great competition that me and many others will give to you in games and tournaments

well, can anybody explain to me what is wrong with it? The chips are practice chips right?

btw, it's good that i checked the forum and found out that this is a bad practice, cuz i was going to open another account and use 2 PCs to get some extra chips in a 2 players table
