Default couple of questions

These might be old hat but can't find any threads about them..

How many points do you get in tournaments

&

Why do some people seem to get some chips back even though they lose hands. I don't mean when they go all-in and have more chips than others who call them. It seems to be when they hold a pocket pair from what I can gather.

about question1 : I have no idea sorry can't help you here.

question2: let's say you have 1000 chips and go all in , your opponent has 1500 chips and goes all in , when you win you get double the amount of your chips which is 2000 leaving 500 going back to your opponent. in 1 on 1 you can only double your amount of chips , 2 on 1 you can triple , 3 on 1 you can quadruple , etc. assuming your opponents have the same or more chips on bet as you.

No, wrong for the three first positions. Follow Magno's link....

1st=20 points, 2nd=16 points, 3rd=14 points, 4th=12 points, 5th=11 points and down by one point then for each place to 15th=1 point
