Default Dear JimGoldwing:

Hi Jim,
I really enjoyed the mini-mammoth yesterday, and wanted to drop you a public line of support against the foolish comments that were made near the end. I hope you didn't let the rantings of a sore loser bother you too much, but even I was offended by the poor sportsmanship exhibited towards you. You and I both know that 'luck' is a part of the game, good or bad : and from where I was sitting, you got a bit of both through the course of that game; from your QQ being beaten by the Treys of TicTalk, to your incredible all-in plays near the end allowing you to survive to claim the silver. You played admirably and honorably, and in my humble opinion, deserved your placing ( or better). Congrats, and I hope to see you on the felt again soon.

-MrC

If players can't lose with honour playing for imaginary chips Lord knows how they act when playing for real money, even worse, how would they react in a live game in a casino, probably get thrown out.

Thank you for the positive words of support... it's all good, MrC.

I don't think the words were ill-intended... the player involved (in my opinion) has far more class. It's a shame the game ended so quickly after that exchange, as perhaps with time, the intent (what I am hoping was playful and not mean-spirited) would've become more clear.

We have a good community here!

Cheers!

Now ain't that the truth Fred! People take this game too serious...it's gotten so bad it's not even fun anymore.

While this thread has taken on a slightly humorous twist (at my expense!), and while MrC opened the thread with nothing but the best of intention of supporting another OP player, who in his opinion was slighted by another player... I want to make it perfectly clear that I am 100% convinced, beyond a shadow of doubt, that the other individual (who shall remain nameless) was not vindictive. As I mentioned in my first response (post # 3), the other person involved is a class individual who I greatly respect on the poker tables here.

Cheers to all!

I don’t know how and where to start, but I hope this is the end of this thread.
Thank you Jim for trying to keep my name out off it, but it is ok and I thank you because you are a class guy.You are my OP66 friend and I have played many times on the same table with you and I have enjoyed it.I have been in touch with Jim per PM when I first read the thread.
I don’t know why Mr.Cool felt to open a thread about it, he could have send a PM to me and we could have talked about the issue. I don’t know Mr.Cool, and he has never spoken to me on the chat or at any other time. I don’t know what his thinking is, but by now it does not matter.
This is what happend on the Mini-Mammoth on Oct.17 near the end of the game.I was doing ok, I came in 3rd, but thru-out the game many of my good hands went down. We were only the three on the table when again one of my good hands bombed and I wrote “you should have not won this hand”.Since it was Jim who won the hand it was clear I meant him. I am not more a sore loser then anyone playing here. I don’t know why I wrote it (the devil made me do it), because I normally never write nasty remarks. Since I was All-In and lost, I had no chance to say sorry to Jim or even say ” lol” or anything. I felt a little guilty about my remark and I wanted to write to Jim, but did not do it the same day and when I went to the forum the next day the thread was staring into my face.
We talked about per PM and hoped it would end, but I dont want Jim to look bad, as if he is hiding something. He is just a nice guy.
The only person I have to apologize to is Jim and I have done this. Have a nice day.
