Default Going "all-in" all the time?

Last night I came to play here for the first time and was surprised to find that on the free money table I visited, most every hand - someone went all-in immediately. Is that common here?

no BBQboy not necessarily. it depends what tables you play on. have a look around the different tables, including the OP tourneys (under 'fun tournaments' tab) and have a try at the Sit n Go's...i'm sure there'll be a good few that you will enjoy...you will love it here...good luck xxx

it is common on all poker sites i have played on. the low free tables are always like this... because of the unlimited 1k re-buy you may as well join them, then once you pick up a nice pot, move to a 5k sit n go or op66 2k tournie or higher ring table..

Problem is that you have a lot of newbies like myself playing on the smaller bet tables and this why you get this I guess.

If u play the ring tables that's all u will see but could make a few bucks if u have the patience. Like they say move on to higher tables such as the sit and go's but unfortunately you will find it anywhere. Some think the only way to play a hand to pick up chips if a full all in bluff. Good luck on the tables.

It drives me mad especially if your 2 cards are good. Its just gambling and I hate it when they then win.

it kinda sucks but at the same time you can either fold and take their money, or beat them at their game and take their money...so you can make it not quite as bad...on another site i gained lots and lots of free chips from those types.

i started playing just last night, but i noticed alot of people going all in pre-flop, kinda stupid unless you have a high poker pair

I agree, and even if you do have a premium hand it is questionable to make a move all-in pre flop without considering , your position at the table and the style of play adopted by your opponents. As well as going all in with weak hands there are also players of varing standards who are prone to call with weak hands.
