How about a home nations tourney?
Scotland, Wales, Ireland and England.
Put you're name and country down if you're interested.
I was thinking 4 teams of 5, but we'll see how many are interested first.

I assume you intend we play for the country of our birth Jimmy, if so I have to be with England, but if you can choose then I'll go for my adopted Country, Ireland.

I had a feeling this would come up when I first read the thread... but I'd like to say kudos to Jimmy for organizing the event --- like Kitty, I am not from one of the countries. This is ok! It's an invitational tournament --- the organizer can make a decision on who to invite.

Anyone at OP66 can utilize the invitational tables. That is what they are there for! There is a calendar on the forum --- use the calendar and book an event. Largely, these tables go unused (perhaps a bit more utilized than the S&G's!).

Personally, I think it's great when there's a variety of events --- sure, there will be some (like this one) that I won't "qualify" or "be invited" to take part in... that's ok! Further, I'd like to see more people take an initiative... besides the monthly events (Titans, International), we've seen other uses... some wide open (e.g., Telboy has an annual event celebrating Elvis's birthday), while other events (e.g., Jimmy's) are on an invitation-only basis. All well and good!

Again, anyone can book an event --- how about a "blondes only" (now I'd pay admission for this one!)? Creatively, people come up with loads of ideas --- Pappy is currently organizing the script tourney... and on and on and on. What I'd hate to see is that if someone does take an initiative (like Jimmy) where it is invitational, that they be villified for not being all-inclusive. It really is the perogative of the organizer.

Of course, this is all just my own not-so-humble opinion! You (or others) might not agree... but that's why we have a forum to dialogue on our thoughts/concerns!

of course it is always the organizer´s decision whom to invite... don´t worry, I am neither upset nor disappointed... maybe I got misunderstood, i should have added some s. Its a good idea to have a tourney like that, or one for blondes only ( I couldn´t even participate there,lol)
As I love playing tourneys, I always try to take part in no matter what kind of....Just go on creating new tourneys, I will be ready for them, if possible.
