THESE RULES HAVE BEEN PUT IN PLACE SO THE ORGANISORS TIME AND EFFORT IS NOT WASTED BECAUSE OF UN-INVITED PLAYERS SPOILING THE TOURNAMENT FOR EVERY ONE ELSE.

to some extent yes rules were there, but not really enforced but due to the ammount of recent complaints we are currently reviewing.

1 major problem with the original rules is all could used to be done with just a forum ban which was also effective on the tables on the pit script.

however now all table issues and now controlled via the networks database, which is great for imposing permanent bans and such, but quite messy with short 24 hr bans as all go through the necessary department

I have tried using the calender, but being thick find it a minefield and i have made the mistake of registering because i only play tourneys and sit'n'goes now...Could you not just change the name to internationals or designate a private tourney table for all the special ones that are running as these could be used by everyone for their particular tourney as these are becoming more common now???

wots wrong with giving everyone who is playing in the internatials a private password ,then no one can gatecrash,as it is now no one is doing anything wrong,as they are using the op66 password .stl got one ,dgf got one,orginals got one, so wot the problem,it might stop people spitting there dummys out

on real money side under tournaments there is a private section, could this not be added to play chips side and invites be put under this, it may help??

im saying if you make a mistake and join then find out one way or another(by checking or someone telling you) there is no way of getting out of it.

I always check forrum calender,then ask people at the table if its a booked tourney or a open 1.As i'm not 1 to impose.LMAO

HALLO! sory sometimes i got a lil sexy quiet voice,and sum times its loud and people listen!

There are a huge amount of people on site with probs getting calander up..i myself have never seen it...can this be addressed too...

I disagree with any kind of ban. The problem is in the way the system of private tourneys is set up, it is not the fault of the player. For a private tourney provide a private password. Don't include the private tourneys in the list of touneys. Have a separate "private" tab to list such games.

The way things are set up it is confusing to those of us who have been around for a long time. Imagine what it is like for new people. We should be welcoming and encouraging new players on this site and trying our best to make them feel included. Instead, it seems we spend more time on this site trying to exclude people. I quit playing any invites for that reason.

Don't get me wrong, I am not upset with anyone. I think private tourneys are fine. I just think we should spend more of our time including rather than excluding, and stop making problems of the site the players problem. Lets figure out how to improve the site rather than punishing those who make mistakes or don't exactly fit into our definition of "how things should be".

sorry hun, but this gets said all the time and it drives me nuts

no game on this site needs a password..exept PRIVATE, INVITE ONLY GAMES, thats why the password was put there...its a private password for a private game. they are called invites for a reason, if your not invited, then dont register...
i do agree with them being on a different tab, but dont think that would be very easy to set up.

I agree DS...i logged into a invite game the other nite basically because i could remember the pw first go and there was only a second before openin or else i'd have un-reg and never sat....unfortunately i sat at the table....OMG how uncomfortable did the players make me feel and not to mention STUPID...i post/fold and left straight away....I'm sure a few choice words were used and not nice ones...consequence im scared to enter ANY sit an go's etc just in case........SORRY ALL IT WAS A GENUINE STUPID KEZA MOVE SOZ X

Kez...you remember when these were first set up?? we wouldnt dare enter if we werent invited, and when we did get invited it was great...but we had to be invited. Most people forget this or dont know this and just register, i've been here, as you know since more or less the beginning, and i have played TWO invite games on a normal night...both times i was asked. i wouldnt dream of just entering the invites unless i was asked
As for people making you feel uncomfortable, i know when you are talking about. There are threads all over the place about not registering, nobody wants to make anyone feel uncomfortable, which is why we keep posting and asking folks to check the calender...its so we dont have to have to make people feel unwelcome...its actually a horrible thing to have to do asking someone to sit out of a game, but if they refuse to check the calender and continue to gatecrash, then theres little else we can do

I remember when I first joined, DartYoda invited me to a game and gave me the password. He said to tell anyone that questioned it that I was invited by him as his quest. At that point, I realized that Invite tables were just that. I have only played invites like the International and Titans since then.

Anyone that has been here for any length of time should understand that the tables are designed for just that INVITES. And anyone passing out the password to new people should explain to them the importance of only registering when invited, as they are not open tourneys. What irritates me the most about the gatecrashers is that most of them have been around for awhile, so should fully understand the purpose of the tables. How do you accidentally sign up for an Invite only table???

It is for this reason mainly, that I vote for the 24 hour ban, since many are repeat offenders.

As mentioned by several people that it would be less confusing if they had their own names, but it's my understanding that on this script, it's not so easy to do. The International has been asking for it's own name since day one. We still don't have it.

Maybe changing just the name of the tables to INVITE ONLY might help, but I sort of doubt it.

If people can't access the calendar, why not just pm someone that can, someone who is registered, or a mod?

And no disrespect M_80, you know I love you, but the invitationals are considered private until you've been invited. Just because you know the password, that doesn't mean you are invited to every one of them. You've been in the International, so you should know how disrupting it can be.

Just a quick note to all,Lava has fixed my prob with calander access..must have been an easy fix..i had said a few times in threads it didnt work and i know off table chat loads more in same boat..so let them all know to pm the boss man

i've asked lava to maybe start a thread for those with same problem, hopefully he can fix everyones who has that problem
