I'm not sure why Lava is getting any credit for this.

I thought the poll was created in which the community would decide what would happen with the site. Evidently that was never the case in the first place, the new script was always going to stay, you just wanted something to take away the flack and moaning.

Sorry, but that really really sucks. I could have forgiven you for pressing on with the new script, but doing it in such a back handed way really smacks of totarialism and my opinion of the site has just plummeted.

I think I've played my last game here, thanks for all the fun times but its time to move on.

I would like to say that on the 1st day of the change i moaned and said i was going back to my playstation! 2nd day i accepted the changes even though i didn't like, thought that i should at least give it a go. People that know me, know i play omaha - there was none!!! Yet from readinig posts from BlackLava and PokerDude I felt that i should at least give it a bit longer.

now omaha, and tourneys woop woop, are back i do feel more at home. There are loads more people playing and going all in. I know this is poker to go in all in every hand, but man is it annoying. they will soon get the hang of it, or realise that no one will want to play them. All though an all in omaha table sounds like a good plan to me

i voted for the new site even though i much prefer the old site. i understand the techincal limitations of the old site and see where the new one can take us. I'm happy to put up with the lack of community spirit on the hope that it will come soon.

Lava has put a lot of work into this, lets give him a chance to prove himself. Maybe after a month another vote could be taken, i bet that the results would be different.

Suggestion\question - is it possible to split the sit & go ie page for texas another for omaha?

Lava not being nasty or anything, But why did u even bother about asking us all to vote when u already knew u were gonna keep us on the new site? and when the stupid ones like me voted 60% said go back to the old site 40% said no, that just proves u dont care what any of us thinks or what we want, well hun were the ones that are still losing most of our chips on this new ( GREAT ) site u chucked us in coz of the lags getting worse for the first two 3 days it was ok its got worse over the days. Oh and dont lie when u answer this question ( where are u gonna move us all to next hey? do u know wot i and alot of other good poker players believed u well tried ur way of thinking for abit and u just ended up being played for fools that we are for believeing u well done for making some of the best players leave the site to find better ones me and more wont be far behind them so u got ur wish hope u enjoy tc ( clap clap )

Now that you have decided to stick with the new site, I really think the following should be done.. and done fast. To lose those that have no trust in you or the new site is one thing, but to lose those who have trust in you and is willing to give the new site a go is another...

Let's talk about those who have stuck by you and is willing to give the new site a go. I don't ever visit the forums until this news about the switch. I noticed that there are MANY members who are having difficulties getting into the new site for various reasons, and they have asked repeatedly for help.. but NOTHING was done to assist them. Some have asked for help since the first few days of the switch, n yet, NO assistance was forthcoming... not even a reply. I know of many who have supported you but have 'left' coz they simply can't go into the new site (???). These include,

- Those who have registered for an acct but smhow, their chips was not transferred over. I can understand their frustration. I mean, how do u expect them to play if they don't have chips?? Don't expect them to start with 1K chips again. I know I won't, I don't think they will too.

- Those, for sm silly reason, who have 2 accounts. This group either can't log in or can only log in with the acct that have NO chips. Again, how do u expect them to play .. (???)

- Those that want their old nick back. I know it's silly (at least to me ) but for some, they simply don't wanna play unless they have their old nick back. haha.. Jokes aside though, they are toooo many cases of members who can't register their old nick (wonder why). Have you seen the thread for this... WOW! I think one of the reason people feel the new site is devoid of frens is that they don't recognise familiar nicks (when their frens are actually there under a diff nick !!). REALLY need sorting out this.. and fast.

- Those that simply can't even register/login for whatever strange reason(s).

I have received quite a few PMs in regards to the above.

Lava, I know you are busy with all the stuff you have to do. But I humbly suggest that you (or anyone you deem fit) take 30-60 mins out each day to sort out the problems of those we have, or is trying to, support your decision. I mean, for example, since the "Move your chips to new system : Read here!" thread was created a week ago, many have posted their problems there.. but not even a single reply frm any admin or mod there... (???) (Pardon me if you replied them by PM). Even if you have replied them by PM, wouldn't a reply on the thread shows others who have similiar problems that someone is actually looking into the problems? Same goes for the other similiar 'help' threads....

I sincerely believe that one of your top priorities is to get the members who are faithful & loyal to you and OP66 to play on the new site as soon as possible.

Whatever you intend to do with the old site web page, I suggest that, amongst other things, you place all the Top Lists on the main page. This will definitely attract new visitors to that site to sign up and become members.

You know the avalanche effect.. 1 person get in, friends see them, they follow...

Lava, reply to their queries, at least they KNOW that someone is actually looking into their problem.

*Suggestion, instead of lumping all these problems in one threads, maybe you can seperate them into different threads so you (or others) can sort out the 'easier" ones first and get them playing on the new site.

No point doing all the fancy add ons if people can't even play.

Suggestion:

I have many members telling me one of the main reasons they love the old site sooo much is coz they can get chips easier. For many, playing big Ts for 1-2 hours, and only the top 2-3 getting paid, is just no fun. I really think something similiar to the old system payout is more attractive. I don't mind it personally but the Ts, as it is, are all 2K buyins, so the payout is already very low, even if you win it. Having only the top 2-3 been paid is just not 'attractive' enough for them.

Good to hear the top lists are coming back (Tues, is it?), coz to many, the lists are a form of motivation for them to keep playing. It's also a form of motivation for a lot of them. I know that some players from the new, have joined us as members after hearing us chatting on the table about these lists. They all liked it and wanna be part of the list too.

Lava, many members are still getting to terms with all the drastic changes. Bringing back these features from the old site as soon as possible will make the switch a lot easier for us all.

One last Q. now that the old site is 'dead', and the old web page is nothing but a skeleton. HOW DO WE GET NEW MEMBERS FOR OP66??

Surely you don't expect strangers to just go to our old website and just register as a member, do u? The way things are... I really can't see even a single new member joining the OP66 family....

PS: Maybe we can place all the Top Lists on the main page of the old site. This way, new visitors to the old site will be attracted and encouraged to sign up as members of OP66. This will ensure that Op66 continue to grow and big Ts and Sit & Go will have a higher participation rate.

About new features you have another sticked thread there : New Poker Software - What features do you want?

For players who can't get their old name : Nickname "already used"? post here! (I'm making a list for those and it will be treated all in one time tomorrow or on tuesday)

About mini-tourneys there is a thread, about big tournaments too... All important threads are sticked.
I agree it's a bit messy, but when someone is asking for help since days I can't understand he couldn't take time to read the forum at least! Or PM me or a super moderator instead of replying in the wrong threads.
I appreciate your post anyway, I feel a real motivation for making things clearer and easier for the ones who still lost, which is our goal too offcourse (I will restructurate a bit the forum tomorrow).

About new incoming players they are coming from google on a daily basis, I don't understand what you mean about old script skeleton. The enter page is now leading to new script directly offcourse.

Shaun : The more important point in making polls and discussing for one week about new/old script is to state on the real needs of the players and to see our possibilities. I've really took time on the possible setups we could hit, including the possibility to setup all on old script and big tournaments on new one in order to lighter the cpu : That was tons of technical reflexions behind the scene. You're asking "yes/no?", "want a clear answer", "a poll is a poll and there is a winner"... and on the other hand you won't trust any of my answers or at least that's the feeling I have. Everything is written in my first message here, I can only focus you on it, if you're having technical questions just shoot. And as you want a clear answer : No, nothing is planned here, I'm working and hearing at the same time.

I took the poll as gaining information from the members as to whether or not they like the new or old program and site.
How many threads and post were created with the lag we experienced with the older program? Everyone wanted something done and it was. I for one voted for the new site, the reason is simple. If you take into consideration the problems we experienced with the original site and those problems will reoccur my choice was obvious. You can fix things to a certain point, then its time replace the old with the new.

-I've seen you moaning a lot of time on forum about old scripts lags and crashes, some of your words were yet going too far but our politic was to accept aggressive moanings...

-A few weeks ago you were spamming poems on forum, saying it was your work, people congrats you for that and then someone catched you : You were simply stealing poems on the net, not a single one was yours!

-4 days ago you've put a link on forum to another poker site just because you were unhappy, I've deleted it without any ban and only a fair message "no link to other sites please => ban next time"

-Yesterday you've been reported on chat talking about real money you've won on another site, offcourse giving the name too (PKR is a well known 3D poker money machine) :

That story isn't out of the subject, it's really the overall feeling I'm having since one week.
Complaining is ok and I've spent some good time on tables with you Roo in the past even if I haven't that much time to play nowadays, players love you for many good reasons but here I can't get why you are going that far.
It's like we are handling a small free restaurant where you're coming on a daily basis saying bad things and now going mad when we finally explain the restaurant can't be totally free. Same time you're eating in an expensive smart place and now forwarding our few customers there : Is that a fair and respectfull answer?
It's not about banning you here, it's really more human related : No I'm not living in a big house and using you to create my money machine, I'm not living in an house at all. Those recurring moanings and story going even further are far away to be a pleasing answer to the time all the moderation team is spending here.
It's a free speech human related place needing money to continue to live, the plan will never be to make millions, I just aim to developp a place who really care about free players, why can't people understand it needs some trust in our plans?

For granting more visibility to information topics and real poker related threads we will come really soon with new forums rules which will need to be stricly applied now.
