Exclamation New reboot in a few hours (now in 30 min or so)

hi,

the test wasn't that good due to feedbacks, so we will have another reboot in a few hours.

i know that i posted that thread about shutting off your computer but if EVERY single member dont SHUT THEIR COMP DOWN then they will experience lag and other probs such as not loading tables very fast and things like that if their comp has not been shut down for the last day or longer. so it is IMPOSSIBLE to gauge how well the reboot works if EVERY member dont shut thier comp down DURING the reboot. LAVA maybe you should suggest that all members shut their comp down while the site is shutting down and then if all member shut down ( NOT RESTART) then the members will get better results after the site is finished with its reboot. NOT SHUTTING DOWN a computer is the most common thing that causes a computer to NOT funtion properly. honestly i know soo many family members and friends who asked me to look at their comp because it wasnt workin right and when i asked them when was the last time that they shut their comp down most of them said that they rarely ever do it and when they did do it they RESTARTED and they DID NOT shut it OFF and that was their problem. its such a simple thing and i know that it doesnt sound like that could make a comp work better but in a LOT of cases that will fix the problems that occur as far as a browser running slow and most other things. and im gonna say this but please dont think that i am saying that you all dont know what you are doing and i think that im some kind of computer wizard but shutting a computer off is the one thing that will make a browser work better but it just seems so redundant that a lot of people will think that it is some kind of myth and people think that something so semmingly petty surely cannot be the answer but in a lot of cases it is. AND i will guarantee you this. if you shut down and you still experience lag and other things at this site then your browser is experiencing these things because of settings on your computer and corrupt files and if you still experience these probs after this site reboots then it is most likely YOUR COMP and not this site. i am trying to help here and im not implying that you are illiterate as far as a computer is concerned and like i said if shutting down doesnt work for you ESPECAILLy after lava reboots then you have other problems that you are not aware of and you shouyld go to a website that will run diagnostics tests. i would suggest that you go to www.pcpitstop.com and run a diagnostic test on yur comp and if there are browser probs that site will tell you how to fix them and in terms that you will understand. you dont have to be a computer geek to understand it.

Rebooting your own computer and updating your flash version, clearing your temp files and so on will for sure help but many lags still come from cpu usage on server here I must admit.

Stoped the mini-tourneys again, simple reboot for sql server configuration change in a few minutes (means 5 min downtime only this time)

Lag doesn't seem to be nearly as bad as it was but the busy time later is prob the best test. Thanks for the endless hard work!!

Just played in Turbo tourny. Lag was not there at beginning. Started to slow just a smidge at the end. Much improved. Thanks for all the efforts!
