Default Offensive and abusive behavior

Does OP66 have any sort of system for warning people who are consistently foul mouthed and abusive. Since I returned to OP66 I have noticed an increase in such behavior without a single break in by a moderator to warn the responsible parties, yet last year it was the friendliest online poker site I could find and would look forward to many a pleasant hour in any tourny or single game. Also, last year during a game two people spoke about their cards and were instantly pulled up and one of them was barred instantly from the site. Have you stopped using these moderators or is it that a lot of it is seen as harmless tongue in cheek banter and ignored by all except to whom it is directed. Look forward to a reply.

hmmm bit of a sore point here mate..the changeover caused some of the mods powers to be put on 'hold'. there is quite a bit of abuse going on here, and the best thing to do is click on the players name and block their chat, or report them to the 24/7 help team, as our mods cant do what they used to do to keep the place clean. Gun, its sooooo different from the old site, you'll see...

Since the change over there are some extra hurdles to address poor behavior. First is to do as Sally recommends and block the offender at the table. Second is to get the table name, hand number and the name of the offender to a MOD. This can be done through Private Message or in the chat room. Once we get that information, if they are an OP66 player we can take action, as we have in the past. If they are not then we get the 24/7 support people involved and they can take action.

I hope this helps clarify.

A Very Sore Point Sir!!!! Since The "switch" Lots Of Things Have Changed & Not 4 The Better In This Players Opinion!! I Think The Moderators Should Have Thier Powers Restored Used 2 Be Much Friendlier With Out SOME OF THE RUDE ,Disruptive & YES SOME CHEATERS& TABLE TALKERS We Have Now!!! Although Still Better Than Other Sites I Have Tried Cant Wait 4 The Day The Mods Can Go Back 2 What They Used 2 Do!!!! THAT IS Y ALOT OF THE OLD PLAYERS HAVE LEFT!! I TRIED 2 GO BUT AFTER SEARCHING THIS IS STILL FAR ABOVE ALL OTHER SITES I HAVE TRIED!!

Many thanks to all for the advice. I know about the block chat but as soon as they leave table chat unblocks so it can continue as an observer. Is there any way the block chat can remain blocked until you unblock yourself as with a couple of other sites I have tried. Must say though, this site still head and shoulders above the rest.

at first, i would have agreed with shaun regarding 24/7, but they are getting better, and soon there will be "network" wide T.O.S for the tables.

so is best to follow toweringtexan's advice here

Is there anyway we can have the link back which shows which mods are online? It used to be easier as there was always mods in the chatroom but that is not the case anymore.

So, you come onto here saying that the moderators aren't doing their job by catching every single foul mouthed player? Here's a hint; Take a screen shot, send it to a moderator. They can't be on 24/7, and they can't view every player when they are on. Can cops stop crimes without knowing that it's going to occur/is occurring? No. They need people to call in.

You could have handled this far better.

He didn't directly state it, but the point itself was implied. And I was here for the change, *points at join date*

Which words are "swear" words and Which words are "acceptable." Whether or not, swear words are "offensive" is an individual judgment, as it is only the individual who can be offended. Some words to some ,are ok to others,One could argue that the best way to eradicate all offensive language is to stop being offended by it.Yes keep the site clean, some ladies on here could be your Mother,Sisters ,Daughters,Grama's,I wouldnt talk like that in front of them so why should you let others.""Banned Them."" KEEP OUR SITE A CLEAN AND FRIENDLY ONE."!bid..
