On-table chat - are there still network filters?

When we started with the latest system, I see to remember that Lava said that there would be no chat between OP66 members and others. Is this still the case? It seems to be. Sometimes it would be nice to say nice hand to someone. On the other hand it's sometimes fun to talk about someone behind their back.

Just to confirm the chat filters are in place , and if my memory is correct it has been agreed that it will stay that way

I thought it was to be reviewed? Personally I think it needs to be especially on the real money side as at the moment we (or they) cant know if collusion is going on or not.

the network does have a risk and fraud team that monitor tables for collusion and cheating

I'm not sure why these filters are in place. What are the sites afraid will happen if we speak to each other?

Thats good to know but I still think it needs reviewing. I understand why it was brought in but hey this site wasnt the problem the old one we were joined with was and nothing ever happened then.

It feels a bit like shutting the barn door after the horses have bolted.

There was a lot of abuse at the tables dave and it was down right nasty

To stop that all u need is chat rules which are the same for both sites and enforced on both sites.That didn't happen on the old site.Leading to even more abuse.With moderators from both sites used in making sure the rules are adhered to it should stop that.

precicely why chat is currently closed to other sites until network wide rules are in place

This lack of chat on ANY side is a much greater chance of colution,,well never know if we cant see others chat,,will we ?..plus playing on line ,,to read a player ,its about -amount of bet ,-,speed of bet----- and chat--we can't see people..This needs to be changed.. i asked if it would be looked into ,and was told by lava in a thread,,basicaly no. its a BIG disadvantage with no chat !!!

It works both ways though, doesn't it? Players from other sites may feel at a disadvantage to OP66 players because they can't read our chat. Plus, as I understand it, our new network is not exclusively English-speaking (I may be wrong on this one though). If I'm correct about the English, viewing their chat may not be such a big deal after all.

Excatly my point,,lets have chat for all ,,,much more fair for everyone !--lately is the first time ive ever played poker , just no talking all day and night long,,,gets a little boring.--never seen it anywhere,,no chat on tables.

We have never been on an exclusively English network even though the rules say we are and foreign language chat on OP66 still goes on now.

The value gained from OP66 players being able to tell others about the great atmosphere on OP66 and our tournies and forum etc surely now outweights the fact that we might be called something in a different language.

I for one would much rather be able to see what people are saying and if necessary get a translator out than not be able to see anything

dont think the other sites would appreciate some of the support we give to players when they are doing well in big tournys,word soon gets around of a player doing well in cash tourny and an army of supporters turns up,not saying this happens alot but we do support each other here even in small cash games we complement each others play

too but you cant see that.
About chat on tables i was talk 2 months ago, but no progres
on that mater, and i think that with stupid "english" rule
we are in stupid position (spec when you playin for real money).
Chat is not for cheating (if you wanna cheat there is so many
ways to), chat is for makin new friends, read players with chat
