Hi all, is there a thread somwhere or could anyone explain how the rankings work on big tournements please. On the toplists there is a score next to players and also an average on the other list. thanks

Have searched forum and found a couple of other people asking the same question but no replies. Trying to work out if its anything to do with blind level when your knocked out. Sure somebody will enlighten me! thanks

Points are for the top 15.

15 points to first, 14 for second, down to 1 point for 15th.

Sorry for delay, I was going to take time to make a full explanation, but been busy. In short, the Tourney Toplist shows points earned (1st - 15th place) and number of Gold, Silver, Bronze medals. The Tournaments Best Average is the average number of points earned for Big Tourneys for the past 15 days, and also the medals won. The Toplist does not reset. The Best Average List is a current 15 day listing.

There are odd points up there though, the toplist includes 1 point per game for everybody there. Newer players dont have that bonus.

I also believe that the points are awarded similar to the prize percentages, rather than a linear 1 - 15 points. But you get the general idea. If you are on any of the lists, you are doing OK.

1st place 20 pts. Gold
2nd place 16 pts. Silver
3rd place 14 pts. Bronze
4th place 12
5th place 11 then on down to 15th place 1pt.

Thats better Micko, but I still dont see the fairness in letting people get 1 point for the old tournaments while new tournaments dont give that point.

Thanks for replies guys,think i get it now. Long way to go before i make the toplist but if i have understood your posts correctly i would be 9th on the averages list(until i lose in a few more anyway).Entered 3 big tourneys and had a 15th and a 2nd so average points of 5.6/7 would that be right? thanks

I am pretty sure that is correct. 5.667 avg

Gutted,still not on there! Was looking forward to going straight into the top10 before i start a rapid slide down the list and into oblivion

Just keep on playing consistently, it sounds like you are doing well. I'm not sure what times, or even if BlackLava does manually, the list change. He's very busy right now with new site additions and all. Hopefully your name will show up soon. Good Luck!
