Just wondering which tourney, which medal and when was your first time.

Mine was Hetmans 13.11.2008

My first medal was gold about 20 mins ago in todays hetmans only my 5th go in the tournys so pretty chuffed

My first medal was Silver in BC back in 2008, not sure on date but my first Gold was on my birthday in same year, same tourney.

and yes Steve....first time IS special

I can remember mine, it was silver against Curbcowboy in the New York in 2009, couldn't believe how pumped up I was lol.

Hi, mine was back at the begining of 2010... I had only been a member just over a month.



My family had always played crib, rather than poker so it took a while to learn how to play even (still don't get it all now )

My first Gold came in the BC a while ago, shortly after my return from playing cash for a year on another site. That one was really special.

My first gold was in the early days before we had the 4 named tournaments... and that first gold was..... WOW!!!!! What a feeling! I only won 3 medals in the early days... one gold/silver/bronze.

My first med was a gold, just like jim before we had named tournies.

I dont remember date, but it was the 10k buy-in one, had 97 entrants, and got over 1 million chips for it those were the times

My 1st was july 2009 in Hets.Couldn`t win BC for ages and it is now my most sucessfull winning it on 2 consecutive nights once.Silver today in Hets, wd Bidiot and i have just won BC .

Got my first on 8/2/9

I had done the rounds of OP66 scripts 1 and 2 (ring tables).

I briefly visited the SNGs, but frankly the sight of avatars terrified me. I thought that all these players with avatars must be really expert so I just wasn't messing with them. Does anyone remember the tax? When you were down where I was, there was 10% ADDED to your account lol

Then we joined pitbull. I stayed on the rings because it was easy to reload and I was too scared to try anything else. From out of nowhere I had a big win, about 20k on the rings. We were on pitbull now, so no scary avs. I swore I would never go back to the rings.

Because there were no scary avs, I was comfortable joining the SNGs. At this time I won some, lost most. I played SNGs and nothing else. I wasn't good enough and eventuually my 20k ran out.

My thoughts were "If I can't win a SNG what chance do I have in a tourney?"

I was down to my last 2k, and entered the NYT tourney. There were over 70 entrants, and I came 4th on my 1st attempt. Plus I got about 70k chips.

That 70k has now turned into just over 4,000,000. Not bad for someone who doesn't play rings. I apologise for getting a bit sidetracked, here is my first medal
