Cant get in the Tourney? A Solution !!!!!!!

right for those of you who cant get into the touneys follow this guide as i have had the same problem as most of you but have found a way to beat it

here goes

1)register for the tourney
2)when it starts hold ctrl and click on 'game view'
3)if that didnt work close it all down
4) hold ctrl and click 'play poker' again AND HOLD CTRL UNTIL THREE 3 PAGES LOAD UP (poker lobby, tourney info and the table)

if anyone has a quicker way please be my guest and post a reply.

if it works (as it has done for me and two others) please post a reply and also if it doesnt work post and ill see what i can do

A few More Things that might be able to help:

A) Try using Mozilla Firefox ( download it here: http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/)

B) Whilst trying to play a tournament on this site: Open up Task manager - Go to processes - find something to do with google - right click on it - choose end process.
Bii) With task manager open look for Iexplorer or Firefox in processes - Right click on it - choose priority - set to high (note: This will make Iexplorer/Firefox run faster and maybe smoother [does for me] however it may lead to other programs open going unresponsive)

THANKS T BIRD I'LL TRY ANYTHING AT THE MO, AINT BEEN ABLE TO PLAY A PROPER GAME FOR DAYS NOW AND IT REALLY IS GETTIN' ANNOYING. I MUST LOOK LIKE THE WORST PLAYER IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME, I GET TO SEE MAYBE 1 HAND IN 20 AND I GOTTA GO ALL IN TO TRY TO WIN ENOUGH TO STILL BE IN THE TOURNEY NEXT TIME I GET BACK IN. THAT AINT POKER, THAT'S JUST STUPID

Just to add;
This has helped about four people (five have asked and the fifth was using a mac; so sorry i cant help mac users) Crinkle, Mandi, Tiddlywink (and another but cant remember his name) all were able to get back/into a tourney after using the above guidlines.

Tbird, holding down the ctrl key whilst you open the play poker window simply overrides your pop-up blocker settings for that window ( and by extension any further windows that open whilst the ctrl key remains held down ).

So if people have got their pop-up blocker set such that the tables won't load, a more elegant solution would be to follow the advice in Towering Texans guide

Temp Files, Cookies, Cache and Pop-Up Blockers - How To

and get your pop-up blocker setup correct.

elegant way as that may be, it doesnt work for some (such as myself) i have the three sites in my trusted and allowed sites yet when the two screens try to open, due to the new 3-screens-play system that they seem to have decided to be doing now it doesnt seem to matter what i have allowed or not it gets blocked none the less; thus rendering ctrl the option for me.

However just following TT's guide lines may be all thats needed for other people

Tb1rd, in the pop up blocker settings, what have you got the Filter Level set to ?

If it is set to high, it will block all pop ups, whether they are in your allowed sites list or not. The CTRL key then is the only way to override this.

But if you have got the filter level set to medium, it SHOULD allow the pop ups from your allowed sites list without needing to use the CTRL key.

yes mine is on medium ... i think it could even be a on low-medium im not sure, but its deffinately not high.

Hi Tbird! Thank you for the tip. It worked for me. I could not get into the NY tourney when the game started. I had to get out (F5) and click on Play Poker and then I held the CTRl down until the table came up. I tried yesterday for 1 hour and could not get into the tournament.
I never had this problem before until just yesterday. I hope it will not continue. I did all the tests re: pop-up etc. and it seems all ok.

If this works for you, you DO have an issue with Pop-Ups being blocked. I suggest you re-check your settings. Check again, this thread: http://www.onlinepoker66.com/forum/s...055#post208055

hey, this is the second time i havent been able to play a tourney. i pay and all but it doesnt seat me. tried to do what u said and it doesnt work for me, lol i dont have a mac either .lol

Ok I've not got long to do this because I've got to work in oh 5 mins.

So, basically if you followed them right (not saying you havent) but if you have then it shouldwork. If not then you may want to read through the rest if the techniqual forum and see if anything else works (look for a thread by towering texan) as far as what i can do, I can't refund you theres a new thread for that (search refunds), however i recommend you download mozilla firefox that works a treat for me.

Also clean your cookies, cache and temp files, hell it wouldnt hurt to do a disc clean up. Best of luck.

I must stress to the both of you that you have to hold down CTRL for quite a while.

i have found that the google toolbar can block pop ups even when allowed if you diable the google toolbar this may help

Yes i found that too, and completely deleted the toolbar lmao. Thanks for the add I'll edit my previous post and add that.

I've played on the other side of op66 (PB) and when loading lobby it tells you to hold the ctrl key down,to over ride pop up blockers, 24/7 help always tell you to turn off pop up blockers.As long as it works.
