Default Connecting to Server/Disconnections

SOOOOO,....
it seems to be getting worse.
more and more people are having 'connection' problems.
a few days ago, the site was DOWN for hours. ( at least for the flash players )
Last night's Wombats froze for EVERYONE numerous times.
Don't try to tell us that it's our computers,.. it's happening to everyone.

WHAT'S GOING ON?

OK chatted with support and the best way to handle this is if you have an issue, write down the hand number and contact 24/7 with that information and they can trouble shoot or let you know of any issues. Make sure to let them know if you are on flash or download version and which operating system you are on. Sorry I can not give you more but they are the best source for getting this addressed.

Perhaps I am wrong in my assumption, but my thinking goes like this:

if I am having a problem, my own computer or my own connection, then yes, I agree it is up to me to pursue a solution to my problem.

However, if the case is, as it seems to be now, that the site itself is where the problem lies, then it is the site and those connected to it who should be seeking an answer.

If you owned a store, and the door was broken so that people couldn't shop there, would you ask your customers to please report each incident to your technical team so that they can verify that the issue exists and investigate the proper course for repairing the door? Then I suppose when you have to close your store because of low sales it would be the customer's fault for not finding another route in?

The moderators do not control the actual poker software or your ISP. The issue could be at the ISP level or at the game level in either case the BEST place to go for that is to the 24/7 support as they have direct access to the software and servers to determine what the issue is. Involving a third party to report these issues when you have not even given us the hand number when it froze seems like the long way around.

If I owned a store where the door was broken, no I would not tell my customers to go to the woodworker first to get the door fixed so they could shop there. But if you have a safety deposit box in my bank, and the combination to your box is broken I would call the locksmith and then also suggest since I have no access to your box (and that is the way you want it right?) that you might want to get involved and help the locksmith understand how your lock got broken so they could fix it.

again, the suggestion that the issue is at an individual's ISP level.
I was at a table last nite where EVERY SINGLE player at the table experienced the SAME problem.
how is it even POSSIBLE that TEN different ISPs had the same problem at the same time? coincidence, i suppose?

Although I agree with your point that support having as direct of contact as possible to the problem, and should hear the details from the source, history here has shown us that 24/7 has a habit of brushing off the individual request, where they seem to somehow respond better when someone of authority from this site speaks to them about whole-site related problems.
