Downtime Information on Accessing site

As a web developer myself i happen to know it would only take about 20 minutes to post a note on the homepage regarding the technical difficulties. I recommend this as a means of saving time for the moderators responding to these posts. It would also be good for the professional image of the company to post a proactive statement on the homepage. There are many people that dont know how to use the forum. For those people it would appear that there is noone at the the helm.

This is not criticism. Only the best professional advice i could offer a website I thoroughly enjoy, and wish much success.

dav42i think bass was very abrupt,it says a lot that ppl want to access the site and play poker and are curious as to why they cant,i think we all know how hard the tech guys are working to get it up and running but to see it when they log on would help,just my opinion for what its worth.

Abrupt, how so? I only answered the question. Well I go to log on and it dont work, I come to the forum. I see the site is down and that is that. Takes less than a minute. I am not saying we dont need a noticed posted I am saying it is wise to work on the problem and get it fixed ASAP.

I think if we had an answer you would too. I have no idea what drives a person to hack a site, create and send viruses, ect. Do you?

Could we not have something like this when we first get on to OP66 it would be a lot more helpful than the Updates (latest was 10 hours ago) and could mean a lot less frustration being taken out in the chatroom and the forum.

It shouldnt be that much more complicated to give out outlaws info on the same page as the poker and surely it would cause a lot less hassle for everyone in the long run especially 24/7 and the mods.

I do think some sort of notice when you try to access the site would be helpful, but after reading bassmasters threads I realise that this must be a long term rather than a short term goal.

bestie this site is not as big as Poker stars Spade Club Fulltilt
they have security systems, they have to if they are telivised.
this is a smaller site (No Offense, it rules here)
so that makes it a target, people dont think we can do anything about it.

I have a reason why this site is suffering so much? This is the only site where you do not require to download software (which in my belief lots of peoples don't like much), therefore, players from other sites are lot more interested to play here as they can play anywhere they want ( at home computer, on the move, in a cafe, in a friend's house etc).
So, this could be a well planned attack from rivals.
Just a thought.

As for what inspires a hacker to hack. You can learn mad skillz and make mad money hacking. Many of the biggest sites hire 'in house' hackers to test their weakest links for security breaches. The trick is to always stay one step ahead. Truth be told, those assenine hackers have greatly increased the evolutionary rate of web development.

Regardless, couldn't they just leave us alone and let us play?

All said and done...what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. OLP66 will probably be stronger for this inconvenience.
