Default how to avoid cheaters?

i'm just wondering if there's a way we can avoid players from
cheating. i heard a lot of times players having more than one account.
for pete's sake it's not even real money! i know the mods have a lot more
important things to do than look out for the cheaters. maybe we can help
is there any way we can help to avoid them?

Because you can combine your chips together if you have more than one account...

Good question V. Well maybe you can suspect something when you see fullish folds between 2 players. Also i think mods can realize if someone has more than one account cause i have seen some Bans for that reason.

Moderators can see your IP, they can see all accounts your IP.
They will PM you, asking which account you want to keep.
If you don't have a forum account, they'll just ban one of them.

I'm not sure about how to avoid them, but if u see anything suspicious private message a super mod. So if there are huge raises and then folding on the river- and this is happening most hands- copy and paste the chat log with server time and which table it was on.

1) No. They are people living together that are genuine players that might share computers.

ex: We share 3 differents Pc with dreamingirl. Two in the same bulding where we work (small local network) one at home. We will never cheat.

2) YES. OUT FOR GOOD AND FOREVER. IP BANNED.

i dont think theres an answer to avoiding cheaters here, if some people want to have multiple accounts then they are going to do it... until the mods catch up with them theres nothing you can do. i'd say if you are positive there is something iffy going on at the table you are playing then hit stand up. really theres no other way to avoid them.

Am just wondering Virtus, when we as clients log in and start an account our User ID and PC Port log on details form a part of the sign up process??? am I right or wrong???, now, if right,... surely a database by OP 66 linked to new account entries would highlight an account using that previous IP address and PC Port would "clang loudly" for multiple accounts users...it would, of course, fail, if those players using multiple accounts were using 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or even 5 Laptops...but most, if not all, have only one PC so surley OP66 have the technology to quickly identify "New Accounts" as current users under another name by their IP addresses...maybe am wrong lol, but multiple account users need to be identified at source and terminated "at source"...good thread Virtus...Jacky49
