Exclamation need help with Firefox!!!

I have been informed by 24/7 that since this recent change in the software at OP66, I can no longer play through Flash using my Safari browser. It has been recommended to me that i download and use Firefox to access the tables/lobby, etc. ( in other words, to PLAY ).

ok, fine... so i downloaded Firefox.... but the problem is that it crashes EVERY time i go to open up the application.

I have gone to Mozilla's help desk seeking assistance and have tried the tips they gave me...
I have searched Mozilla's forums looking for other help.. not only have i seen the same advice that their help desk offered, but i have also seen many others asking the same questions and having the same problems that I am having. What I haven't seen there is a response from someone saying 'yes! thank you THAT worked and all is fine now'.
so I'm kindof getting the feeling that there isn't alot of hope for me....

but i thought before i just hang it up i would come here and ask if ANYONE has similar experience with Firefox and if so what did they do to overcome it?... or any tips at all...?

any advice at all would be appreciated and attempted... I'm running out of options...

on a side note: Im honestly a bit lost as to why the programmers would create new software FOR the flash player that excludes one of the most popular browers available outside of the PC world... ( unless they ARE just trying to get rid of me... lol )

I'm on MS flash hun and it works fine for me. Only button I'm missing at moment (that I am aware of) is button to show cards if I choose. So flash has improved for MS users; hopefully that will be true for MAC users in short order.

the above links were posted for MrC in response to his first post on here, sorry Sal if that was unclear.

I had been trying to find info on his mac firefox issue and had to post the links in a hurry as i had to go out.

In Betty's instance that matter has been passed to the tech team.

Ummmmmm ok, but i was only posting on behalf of the 'flashers' to illustrate the problems they have (i don't actually have a problem because i'm using download version.......well i DO have a problem......many of em actually but let's not go there right now coz this IS a serious thread, right? anyhoooooooooo.........there are actually 2 issues here

1. when those (some?) using flash version can actually get to the tables (ring tables are ok, it's the sngs and tourneys that are the problem) they do not have the buttons to play properly but can now see avatars, observer chat etc. this problem has happened only since the recent upgrade or fix to flash version

2. mac users who don't have a download version available to them and have to use flash have been told that the flash version can't be used using safari because the lobby won't load (was ok before the recent upgrade to flash to allow players to see avatars but not actually play ) and have had firefox recommended to them but are experiencing problems using firefox

it confuses the hell outta me why the site doesn't tackle these problems and quickly (mac download version has never been available) as they must be losing alot of customers

thanks for the suggestions, Aus. I appreciate the work you did to try to help me.

I must say, tho, what ive been hinting at and somewhat agree with Sally's thoughts...

Why does it seem that the 'help' myself and others have been getting from the 'help' desk isn't really help at all?
Why am i not getting straight answers as to why i cannot play?... they're recommending that i try Firefox but here are real examples that Firefox is NOT the fix. It sends the message that no-one really knows what's going on ... and if they don't know what's going on how can they fix it?...

Techs would need extra information :

Please describe in which kind of game is this happening. Also could you provide a table id / game id.
And second question : Is this happenning during the whole game or can't you see the buttons let's say in the middle of the game?

Just for the record In the past firefox was highly recomended to me not just for poker but just in general. I had nothing but trouble with firefox and within a week was forced to go back to my old one. none of its features appealed to me and when I swapped from dialup to dsl firefox would not even work. So i definatly dont think firefox is fix for anything and dont know what it is about it thats supposed to be so great.
