Hello,

I am from the company that provides the software for the real money games and now the play money side on OP66.

From reading through the posts, many of you are unhappy because the new software is missing some features that the old software had. I have been talking with Blacklava alot the past 2 days and we have been reading all of your comments. Over the next 2-3 weeks we will be implementing most of the old features that are missing in the new software.

The reality is, OP66 has grown alot the past year and the old software was lagging heavily during peak traffic. The old software is designed to run on 1 server and was getting close to being maxed out. The new software can be "clustered", it currently operates on 14 servers and an infinite amount of hardware can be added to handle an unlimited amount of players. This was a key factor for Blacklava to make the decision to at least try out the new software.

I am not saying that the new software does not have some issues. It's software... even Microsoft has issues! However, we have a team of 8 full-time software developers that fix any problems that are reported to us, as well as develop new features.

My offer - Instead of complaining how you miss the old software, work with us on making the new software what you want. We can add anything that you want within reason.

What features do you want, so you can say that you like it?

OK...Use the old graphics and old sound effects...The money side ones look cheap and sound terrible. Surely that should be easy?..Then perhaps you'll win a lot of people back?...Maybe?...The change is too radical!...Sox

Oh this is really nice, thank you and welcome!!

I've been asked many time for some features on the new script, I write them here:

- Possibility to add avatars for players.
- The actual hand you got, written somewhere.
- Ameliorate the chat system (in what way? I don't know yet) some wants to chat while waiting, I personnaly find this really bad.
- Multitabling in new windows (but I've heard its's comming.)

I will add next queries there in the future.

I'm not for that, I don't understand why a poker software should inform you about your hand... Reading your cards and the board is part of the game

(I understand why people ask for that as we were having that feature on the other script but it just need time to learn how to play without)

The game client colors can be changed.... maybe Blacklava can have a design contest??

Here is the link to our customization tool:

Play around with it and see if you can come up with colors that you like. Take a screen shot of the colors that you choose and save the xml file. This tool can only change the colors and not the logos... The logos are changed when we load the software to the production server.

Avatars... We are working on customizable avatars. This is a feature that will be available in the future.

Pokerdude,thankyou. Nice of you to let us know what is happening. I think the biggest issue I have is the speed with which the hands finish. Any chance of a short pause when the cards are shown so we can see what people have been betting on,and another so we can get ready for the next hand? At the moment it's all just a bit too quick. Doesn't have to be a long pause...5 or 10 seconds is more than enough. This would also give those of us who like to have a little chat between hands time to type. Appreciate your efforts, regards,JonnoRock

The actual hand that you got.... We can add this.

Letting non-players chat... we had this, but have had a problem with spammers coming in and typing in website links. We can try bringing this back if you guys really want it.... maybe we will only allow this feature on play money.

Multi-Windows.... this feature is in final testing. Look for it in 2-3 weeks. This was a major project.

But these are only suggestion I don't think that the chat feature or the hand written is good too.

-Another one:

Sometimes players quits rudely when they got to 0$ and stays 2 turns of ring before being kicked. It's sometimes too much, may be 1 turn is enough. Let the 2 turn when someone got chips or $ and click on the deal me out button?

there are currently no waiting lists on ring tables..which used to be good..

but how would this work with re-buys now ??

The amount of time is always brought up. Some players want it faster, some players want it slower. 5 or 10 seconds is very long in online poker... I will take a look at our current display time and see if I can add a bit more time.

You can also see what happened last hand, by clicking on the hand number in the top left of the screen.

I prefered the old style lobby,lil bit easier2find the table i want(&the ppl i want2play against/with).Old lobby format with the new posher grafics wud b nice.
The option4makin the table go full screen(find the new table a lil cluttered).
1chip on the table per player with bet amount instead of lots of chips overlapping each other.
Longer time2c who had wot hand won at end of game(2seconds).
The lil box stating hand uve got.
Larger chat box so i dont hav2keep scrolling bak2c missed comments.
I'd like2b able2chat even if im not playin the table(miss the banter,friends n just being able2say gud bye/GL.
I miss avators but i believe they r coming back.
When its my turn i find the initial time limit enough2select wot i wanna do,then if i havent desided i get extra time,before that extra time starts i think i shud hav2seconds2select("YES" in pop up box)if i want extra time,if i dont then it folds my hand.

the non player chat is a tricky 1 to call for me...

people do like "dropping bye" to say hi which is in some ways what makes OP66 such a friendly place..

it will help to bring the people "back together" and hopefully start to help rebuild some broken bridges..

I agree about the what hand you got showing, not having it there can only make you a better poker player, you don't get that in a live game.

A extra few seconds top see peoples cards were at the end of the hand would be nice.

Being able to talk when you are not sat at the table was on of the special things that made to old script great, being able to cheer your friends on in big Ts and drop in to say hi to people on tables, this would be nice to have back.

Forgot something, it would be great if we could have avatars back.

just looked on the lobby for the big tourney (medals/points 1's)

might be an idea if they were in a different colour or something..so every 1 knew which tourneys count towards the points..

the biggest problem for me is not being able to see who's in what room..its nice to have the challenge from certain people, and also to avoid certain people! it just takes soooo long going through each table one by one...

If you click once on the table in list that you want to look at, it will show you who is on that table, in the table info box on the right side of lobby.

Just a short answer about finding your friends : I bet a player search thing could be added, it should solve that issue at least.

thanks...a few seconds then? If I click on the hand number and take a look at the last hand we're already halfway through the next hand! The speed of the hands themselves is fine,I like it this fast,but between them there really should be at least a small pause,at least in my opinion. Thanks again,regards,JonnoRock

We allow a certain amount of time for the player to make a deposit and reload chips. Even in play money, sometimes a player does not bring his/her whole balance to the table and they need time to reload... I will find out the actual time that we give, but I think its set at 5 minutes before they are booted.
