New Poker Software - What features do you want?

now we have the big ts set up again & turbo minis on there way.i think the main things now are chatting on a table when not playing & also bring back the avs.

OK here is my list:

chat .. enable for visitors if you get spammers..ban em.

mini-tourneys .. need to be more flexible if the table has 10 spaces then a timer after 6 seated works well

avatars .. would be nice

hand readout .. a luxury but helps newer players (personally I don't care)

link to forum.. can we resynch player names and forum names and I suggest encourage all the new site players to register.

dealer commentary.. this needs sorting, I can't seem to find the right setting. I suggest using the level of detail on the old site as a model. At least it needs to textually describe the hands shown down at the end the hand. Because the end of the hand happens very quickly, sometimes its difficult to evaluate what other players have been up to. Just stating the winning hand is insufficient.

list of who's playing on the site as a single list would be good.

medals and toplists.. personally not that bothered about chips these normally reflect how much time you spend on the site but medals and averages are important to me.

yes a player search item or social group search system to find out where all your friends would be a great improvement

Just wanted to drop a line here and say, "thank you" for the responses and for hearing us out. If you can keep up our vigilance on this thread, pokerdude69 and lava, it will go a long way , i think, to helpin gus all thruough this transistion. the communication is absolutely neccessary to reduce the feeling of abandonment and loss that most of us, my self included, are feeling right now.
I must, say, i empathize with MissJ, having been here since the very beginning and op66 and the friends ive made here being very important to me. also being a neophobe, these changes are .. to say the least... uncomfortable.
but i also understand , and honestly have expected this change for a looong time, that this "upgrade" (and i use that term VERY loosley) was inevitable.
Please continue to listen and respond to our needs, we all feel a sense of proprietary holding, that we have made this place what it was, and we need our input valued to keep it comfortable and "ours".

I agree with most of the requests put here so far, so i'm not gonna make any...but will be patient, keep playing, and see how you guys are going to get this worked out. thank you again for your efforts.

ok, a few of points i would like to suggest that i think could do with changing

1: my eyesight isnt great and when im seated at a table i cant quite see clearly the amount of chips i have displayed due to the colour not standing out too well against the background colour. Could the colour of the amount of chips you have changed?

2: the picture cards are easy to read but the none picture cards i find hard to distinguish between, especially the Diamond and Heart. And not having a window to tell you what hand you have i have to always double check before making a call. On the old site it was much easy to see the difference.

3: The table setup gives me a feeling as though im on holiday as oppossed to the old table setup giving me the feeling i am actually sat at a real poker table. dispite the awful carpet that needed cleaning... give me back my old carpet!

4: The big tornys... the main reason i played the big torny was to win a medal and not for chips or points. The medals must come back! And if possible be displayed in you acount details along side your chip count. With an additional medal top list displayed on the home page or link.

5: finding your friends is very difficult so is it possble to have a seach tab to search for your friends and once found will direct you to the table they are at.

These are a few things i have to offer as to what i think could improve the site. Hope it helps.

another suggestion: do you have to require us to give up our personal info in order to register? ok i can understand the age/name thing for verification, but relly, if i wasnt already a member and JONESING for a game, there woiuld be NO WAY ON EARTH i'd give my phone # and my address... IF I RECIEVE A SINGLE PIECE OF MAIL OR TELEMARKETING PHONE CALL I WILL REACH THROUGH THIS COMPUTER AND RIP HEADS OFF.....
but i think that could be just ANOTHER indicator that is making people verryr uncomfortable with the new site..
remove it, please.

Hi...when you say you'll work on table avatars later...will they be able to be our own avatars or picked from your own selection like some other sites ?

Also would it be possible to have the register for the free side (so under 18's can play ) and a second register for the real money side ?? So many members have missed out on the move because of their age !!!

The table chat is good....but you cannot thank the table for a good game or congratulate the hand winner as you leave the table so quickly....so off table chat would be great.

Also can we also have the sit and go tables renamed to what we are familiar with?

i agree with renaming tables to familiar names. much nicer

and why are the cards not like normal playing cards? .. jedi pointed it out to me.. there is just a giant club / spade / etc in middle of card instead of e.g. 8 small clubs for the 8 clubs card. proper cards are better

and yes can design be more like a real poker table room... why are some kind of palm trees in the corners

and can play money multi tournies be seperated the money and freeroll tournies

i think the mane problems i have are the controls for the betting can these be changed to what we had befor the ????
and the langwedg use by the other players on the sita we come here to play and make frends not to to be sworn at and abused

The old table design was much better in my opinion. The cards stood out much clearer on the old table design whereas with the new table design the cards are hard to read, especially seeing who has folded.

The cards that are face down with a green reverse dont stand out too well. Additionally the face cards are also hard to read. The 4 or hearts and the Ace of hearts look so similar. Just have a look at those two cards next time you play. you'll see my point.

Some suggestions (of course there will probably be repetitions, didn't read all posts):

- More of the social apsects of the former free site (avatars, chat improved, possibility for non players to chat, possibility to keep chatting after you are out of a tourny, overview of players on site so we can find them if we want to, possibility for "couples, roomates, etc." to play together -ie same IP, perhaps with a special derogation that has to be asked for so as to avoid abuse-)

- A bit more time after the river. Now I find the system too fast and it makes it diffciult to retrospectively analyze betting patterns to get an image of other players styles (furthermore since you also cannot scroll back up on the chat to see what was dealt on flop, turn & river)

- Some bigger Barrier between money side and free side so people do not have to give their private info, so youngsters below 18 can continue playing with us -or maybe a special account for them where they can only play free side and are blocked from rela money side & offers)

My main things I think are quite simple (that doesn't mean they are)

- Avatars - I miss my devil
- Table's list - Can this be organised in a different way - at the moment the tables list is very cluttered and small making it quite hard to read at times and I often select the wrong table
- Familiar table names (Good idea)
- Chat Box - I would like to be able to say Goodbye at the end of a game at the mo this is not possible

Everything else at the mo is fine but I have listed the main points for my opinion.

One more thing tho - can you please keep us updated every step of the way - ty

on the graphic side of things maybe it would be possible to choose a graphic set, i.e the choice between the old graphics, new graphics and maybe a few custom set graphics, and if the new server is as good as you say add avatars and/or 3d avatars, choose what your player looks like.

There are many more things that could be suggested and have already been suggested but i believe that if you base the options and add ons upon individual choice everyone will be happy.

Could you kindly add another 500K buy-in ring table over at the new site asap... PLEASE?

I'm over there now, been waiting for almost an hour and still could't get a seat (?!?) Well, there was once when a player stood up, but I was away making a cup of coffee and someone took the seat. (Shudder to think, like me, how many others were waiting like patient fools... haha..)

It has been like that during 'peak hours' since I went over 3 days ago. Not surprising tho, considering that with that buy-in, all the members that used to play in High Rollers Table, Super High Rollers & Koth ALL have to play on that ONE table now. And the fact that the existing players from the new site is also flooding to that ONE table is making matters worse, unplayable even.

So in the meantime, can I humbly suggest that u add at least 1 more 500K (1M would be even better) ring table, please?

PS: Naming it "Knights Of The Round Table" would be AWESOME!

I think SternSwiss summarized alot of what I saw from other peoples comments, but also what most of us feel make the OP66 COMMUNITY what it is (or WAS).

Although I am certain that some of these can be overcome with new software coding, I AM VERY WORRIED THAT OUR COMMUNITY IS AT RISK OF DISAPPEARING...

1) We have lost so many of our community..whether it be from:
Multi-player households (1 IP address - for couples/roomates, etc)
Under 18 year olds - (right or wrong, they were part of our community and part of why we strove for a more courteous/respectful/clean FAMILY of players - not just community)
Name issues - Many people have had name issues where names cannot be the same on the old script side vs. the real monsy side - this makes it hard to find my friends when I don't even know what name to look for them under.
Frustration over this major change.

2) The large increase in numbers of players who do NOT share the same table courtesy, respect, fun banter will keep me from feeling comfortable - I have always had full confidence in the mods on the old play side that poor behavior was not tolerated and was dealt with quickly...that is NOT what the real money side is used to, nor do I have confidence that the same values can be reinstated in this environment..we are the minority here.


Although I know coding changes take time, and I have confidence that the look and feel of the tables can improve, the culture of our community may become damaged beyond repair in 2-3 weeks.

Would it be possible to bring back the old tables, (lags and all), while system enhancements that have been determined essential (including multi-player IPs, under 18's, stricter enforcement of player behavior) are worked on on the real side Play Money Area? That way, when we try to cutover again, we have a little less traumatic conversion. (It would also allow time to work name issues between sides, and keep our community from falling apart.) It would also allow time to document any workarounds that we might need to be made aware of so we can adapt easier (such as color customization, finding our favorite tables, finding our friends, undertanding different setups for multi-player tourneys, etc.

3.agree with a lot of others who say feel of new tables is cold .doesn't feel like poker room !old one did

6.bring back old names for mini tournies etc,and pls,pls,pls,pls get rid of 1 on 1s they're s**t as well.

i know things have to change ,the lag was bad but we seem to have lost that community feel and i wish i could tell you how to get it back.

If u plan on keeping this new site and it does have some good points, u have to bring over the games from the old one,

Roofast, bezfast, 40k, highrollers, all listed on the right side. We like those games and the buy ins and the payouts. where is my Omaha 30k hate the one you have on the new site. Players just go all in since they can bring in any amount of money they want. Need words showing what we have since the site is too fast.

If you can bring over the old games, u might make the players come back. I LOVED those games. Now I'm bored and have already been looking for a new site.

Another point

tables of 10 were great, or the short stack of 5.What is this one on one, two on two. Don't fix it if it's not broke. Work on the bugs, tables are really nice, easy to buy in and top up. Hard to exit though. If you just leave the table, you don.t. Have to wait around, click deal out and when it says out then and only then can u exit.

Please bring back our old mini's just like they were or give us the old site back

also I had to change my name and I can't use the same email address as my husband who plays on the same computer. We never play at the same time.

I don't think i should have to buy another computer and set up another email address just so we can both play.
I should be able to log on under my nickname using our email address. Different name, different password same email address.

I also want my old name back.
