Exclamation Time zone changes 2011

Over the next month we will have the normal time zone changes for daylight savings...please be mindful of the changes and tourney times until all changes are in effect. Thanks

PS. For Aussies daylight savings starts this weekend.

for the uk players a reminder.
The clocks will go back by one hour at 2.00 am on Sunday 30 October. Rather than 2.00 am, the clocks will go back to 1.00 am as British Summer Time ends for another year.

This was a good reminder thread by Aus... in the early days of OP66, the server was keyed to U.S. eastern standard time (EST) zone... about 12-18 months or so ago, during one of the fiasco periods, they changed it so that the server is now keyed to the Central European Time (CET) zone. So it's when CET changes from daylight saving is when the tourney times will move by one hour (on the server). In the meantime, as individual time zones change APART from CET (e.g., Australia, U.S., etc.) those players will see a double-change... once for their own time zone and once for the CET change. Being too lazy to look it up, I don't know what the impact is on the UK relative to CET.

I think this is where the Aussie's get hit twice in different directions... they're going TO daylight savings while CET is going AWAY from daylight savings... so after all the changes occur, there's a 2-hour difference in the tourney times... I might be wrong here, but I think that is what will happen.
