None of my camstudios ever upload onto youtube, any idea why? I'm guessing the files are too big but I don't know how to make them smaller.

Error recording AVI file using current compressor. Use default compressor?

hello

you will go to Options / Video Options
and change your compressor video to microsoft Video 1

OR you have different solutions:

1)you will reboot your computer

2)you will record your movie directly in SWF (flash format), you should select in Camstudio the right button SWF and the line: "Record to AVI", change to: "Record to SWF"

3)you will go to Options / Video Options
and change your compressor video
you can select DIVX if you have this codec, otherwise you can download this free codec and install

www.divx.com

Divx player and Divx Webplayer are not necessary during the installation, deselect if you want

remember to not install the Yahoo toolbar during the installation

your email is not necessary during the install

...you can select other video codec if you still have your error

I use Divx because I already had that one since it makes your files smaller than using the default one which is Microsoft Video 1, I just don't know what I'm doing wrong or why that keeps popping up.

ok i understand
i can not help you
i try to encode with divx encoder/Camstudio on XP, and on 2003 server, i have the same error you have

perhaps you can try another codec, like Xvid, ffdshow, etc
