When?

I was just wondering if anyone 'in the know' might be able to tell us when the site will be working properly again. I know there are lots of issues that are fixed, and still to be fixed, so is anyone able to give us an accurate idea of when it is expected to be sorted out.

I much prefer to play on this site over other sites, but it's so frustrating and annoying to spend over an hour playing a game only to have it ruined by tech problems, day after day. Even though I prefer this site if it's a choice between playing for ages then having the game stuffed up, or playing elsewhere in the knowledge that the only thing that will ruin my game is me, then it's a simple choice.

At the moment it's a case of do I take a chance it will work OK and play on here, or go and play where it won't stuff up, but where it's also nowhere near as friendly as here where we all know each other.

I like to come home after a day at work and play a bit of poker to chill out, relax and have some fun. Not play poker, start off having a chuckle with others on the tables, begin to do OK in the game, then encounter repeated problems preventing me from being able to play properly, becoming really frustrated because of it and going all in with rubbish and shutting the program down and ending up being less relaxed and rested than when I left work!

If we knew when it was going to be working OK we could at least make some kind of informed decision. Is that too much to ask?

Stevo, myself personally, I have had no problems since the last two patches were downloaded, its back to the way it was before the merge for me. Could you please say what the problems are that your still having, from what I see there is still the cards changing (pre merge bug for flash) that remains unsolved

Hi Aus, I downloaded both of the patches. After the first one I was getting less disconnections but after the second it became worse again. I uninstalled the program, downloaded it again and reinstalled.

Since then I have had my hole cards change pre flop on three occasions. Each time was during a different game, not all during one game or session.

I've also had where the cards were dealt and the blinds paid, then there was a longish pause of about a minute or so where nothing happened, then the cards and blinds disappeared and another hand was dealt. Had that happen 4 separate times.

I've had the program completely shut down twice for no apparent reason. Which I guess could be something not site related, maybe?

By far the most frequent problem I've been getting is where it doesn't shut down, but disconnects. Then the reconnecting window pops up (server 1, attempt 1....2.....3 etc) and after varying amounts of time it reconnects me. This happens so frequently I honestly couldn't tell you how many times it's happened. As far as I can tell there doesn't seem to be any pattern to when it happens. Sometimes it starts to happen as soon as I log in, but just lately I've found it runs ok for a while, i.e. say an hour or so, then it starts doing it, sometimes almost continuously. I shut down and restart and sometimes it comes good again for a while, other times it just continues to do it still. It may be coincidence but it often appears to do it after I get moved to another table during a tourney. Having said that I still get it on sit n go's and ring tables so maybe the 'moving to another table' is irrelevant?

Might seem a stupid thing to say but this is all since the merge. Prior to then I had no real problems apart from the occasional disconnection which may well not have been site related.

I did try the flash version briefly about a week ago but still had problems.

I also tried the method Sally suggested when getting disconnected, but that doesn't seem to make any difference for me. It's good that it helps some though.

I have all the latest updates for my computer, running windows xp, use firefox and I'm with bigpond on ADSL2. I've also tried wireless and wired between my computer and modem and found it makes no difference which I use.

Apart from the occasional issues us Bigpond users seem to get I don't have any problems online. And I don't have problems on the other poker sites I regularly use. It is clearly a site specific issue.

Wow Stevo thats alot of problems.I had all the same ones when using the flash version.So i finally went to the download and havent had a problem since.hope things work out for ya,Im sure its very frustrating.

sorry stevo but once in a while i disconnect but other wise all is good, only thing I can think of is I still don't have my medals and points.

Hope you get 'bug free' real soon mate. How ironic is this. I decided not to play Hets tonight because I didn't want to get frustrated and annoyed due to constant disconnections. So the wife played instead and didn't get a single problem LOL. Not only that, she got third the cow! LOL
