Just as matter of interest Pro player Chris Ferguson set himself an online challenge to go from $0 to $10,000 playing on one well know site. He set himself strict bankroll management rules that he had to play by. It took him 7 months to get to his balance to stabilize at $6.50, then he entered a $1 tourney and won a $104. But it took him another 9 months to break through the $10K barrier. Great story, very interesting.
...and so familiar lol...been about a month now playing with money from freeroll/ultra tourns only,no deposit, and it "stabilizes" around $5 every time a.k.a. i cant pass that plateau for some reason.
Then i either get bored, get greedy, both(lol) or dont stick to a steady plan.
Bad kc...hehe...

So i said on other thread that i'd like this challenge also,$500 by end of year,so big cheers stevo for the thread m8,maybe i'll discipline myself now.
Maybe.Lol.
ps n1 deano,it's so true.I know it's possible,but you've got to take it seriously.I kinda have,not %100.Never mind bad beats,thats why bankroll management is there,right?
Ok cheers all,gl,and i'll see ya on the tables...

Woo Hoo!!!
Just came 2nd in the WSOP step 4 (hsd a voucher) and won $65. Started at step 1 and don't think it cost anything.
Started on $8 now on $79, if I keep this up I'll have over $3000 by the year end, lol.

Can I ask whether its to be solely OP66 ?
You can choose to make your challenge whatever you want CC. I play other sites too, but this is one of the goals I set for myself on this site. It just seems to have generated a bit of interest with others. I guess it would be best if we all just counted what we win/lose on OP.

Yea good tip mate, I've been doing that for a while now and it's saved me some chips for sure, also helped earn me a few too.

Don't want to sound picky cos it is just for fun, but as the idea was to go from zero to $500, maybe anything anyone has at the start, i.e $1 or $50 should be added to their $500 target. Not aimed at you specifically Jim, and your more than welcome to join in (well done by the way), just seems like it would be a bit more of a level playing field.

Mind you having said that getting started is definitely the hardest part. Not saying it's at all easy but going from $100 to the next $100 has to be easier than getting to that first $100 I reckon.
