Red face Advice please :)

Doing really well on cash side again latley, still no tourneys so from double ups, heads up and a lil venture now and then on rings

But tonight i bought in on a 5 euro ring table,4 seats and for the first time in ages felt out of cinc
Wasnt the money, was a comftable zone but i busted out then won back my loss and put my wallet away

Was playing 4 seated, just seemed really alien to me...10 seats,6 or heads up no probs on cash but i was totally thrown...any advice mates?

I think it's just cos 4 seats is new.
Any change feels alien so once you've played a few it'll be fine.
Just think of it as a 6 seater with 2 sitting out.

I think you would be more comfortable to just give your money to me

uve got to change ur game on a 4 seat table m8, ppl play more hands and worse hands then ull see on a 6/10 seat table coz theres only 4 players.
so the advice i would give is widen ur range and be aggressive

Telling Ulti to be more aggressive is like telling Usain Bolt to go a bit faster.

I do my best at the 6 seat cash tables. It allows and forces me to open my style. I used to think tourneys where my strong point. But ive been playing alot of 6 and 8 handed live and online poker and can really use my image to my advantage and dare i say play against my image of a tight player. Youd be amazed how many people just play shorthanded as if it where full table and wait for premium hands its Hard to win that way gotta open up your game but by that dont play crazy just read your opponents and act accordingly, the cards ur holding dont matter , just reading and knowing your opponenets. Good luck all on the cash tables its almost like a different game if your used to tourneys.

Thank all for replys, forgot how to do multi quotes so here goes...

Jazz thanks very much for the good wishes but remember i dont bluff i represnt
Debs when the lotto win comes in,half is yours

Sandy im not sure the think 2 players are away works for me mate but i may add the bolt comment as my new sig strip..was priceless

Deano and BBBOB thanks...yeah for sure gotta amp up the aggresion and play wider range,as blinds are spinning round really fast,i found they didnt like it at all and found hard to cope with..
And hand range,i was firing with Q9...reasonable or lucky?
cheers for the input i just find it a really, wierd table 4 handed and all similar stacked, with decent blinds, cant play too tight, cant play too loose...very fast..might watch a few tables..strikes me its a killing field,if you know what your doiong very fast money,or vice versa very quick losses..

Cheers all,please add more anyone

I'm no member of mensa, but..

If you generally do well on the 6/10 seater rings, but bust out on the 4 seater, then why not stick with the 6/10 tables?

You get bigger pot potential anyways, and pay less blinds per round.

Besides, if ur playing a wider range of hands (on the 4 seater), wouldn't you be relying on the element of luck more? I wouldn't like that, personally..

Or am i too conservative?

Either way, good luck ow duck
