Best of luck Dean.
I've been stuck on around $200 for a while now, starting at the beginning of the year from scratch.
However, in 2010 I've played almost every day and in 2011 I'm easing of quite a bit (yes I'm under orders lol)
Hope you keep us updated on your progress.

Were are you at Deano, m8? Did you get started?

I wanted to study cash games more thouroughly (have been mostly a Sit and go & tournament player so far, and occasionnally only cash games) and have started a new separate bankroll for this (and some books lol), to keep exclusive track of the process.

I have started the year with 100$ bought saturday, 1st of Jan. Playing 0.02 / 04 $ so far ( bankroll settings = 25 buy-ins of 100bb = 100$s).

I am now at 157,8$.

I don't know how much time I'll be able to devote to buidling-up, but if I stick to it with some regularity, I'll keep on posting here.

I don't have specific a benchmark to reach. I just want to keep building up and increase bankroll / table limits consistently.

Good luck with the house discipline

hi m8, i havent started yet, i was gonna start later on 2day but if not il be starting 2moz.

i am also starting with a $100 bankroll now, but ive set my bankroll settings to playing with 10 buyins instead of my normal 20, bit risky i know but i think playing $0.05/$0.10 tables wont be to hard to beat. (lets hope) lol

once i build my bankroll up i will set myself a much more safe and steady management tho.

uve made a great start m8, $57 up in 3 days playing $0.02/$0.04 tables is not bad at all!

look forward to seeing ur progress m8.

No, I'm not starting from zero.
I'm gonna try to increase my current Bankroll, but will only be playing 2 or 3 times a week.
Sticking to 5c/10c going to table with max £10 (7 euros), also $3 freezouts are quite productive.

@ Dean. Cool, so we are starting approx the same path. Good luck, old friend, I hope you will excell!

Looking forward to reading you.

I have played a couple of hours more. Making a little progress.

Also good luck with the "edgy" bankroll management. I prefer keeping my own tightly, for I don't consider myself am experienced cash player yet as you are (but aiming to get there, I start to enjoy it more and more know that I am working on it).

Also, I play on 2 tables simultaneously. So need to be able to absrob some variance...

I select tables with high pot averages, and play tight / sneaky (following Greg "FossilMan" Raymer's advice).

So far it works well, for I have been benefeciary every session (4 times approx 3 hours so far) and felt confident with what was going on. I didn't hit amazing streaks, was very patient, and surgically lethal the few times I had nuts. Each session so far, I did end up dominating both tables stackwise (8/8).

Today it went a more slowly and was a much more of a roller coaster. Still made a tad more than two buy-ins profit. I guess it is more what it is going to look like (in the good days), after the too-good-to-be-true start, lol.

Resumé: Landmark for next level is 250$ and I am at 166$.

@ Sandy. Nice. Looking forward to reading your progresses. Good luck, m8!

Just a detail question in passing: wouldn't 10$ be more like 12 euros?

@everyone: Does anyone use a rakeback program?

I'll have to double check next time I pay, but I'm pretty sure my 7 euro stack costs about $9.5

Well, if we leave it our financial expertswhat an euro might be worth to a pound in some time is as much of bingo gues than any move at a n00b low-limit table, lol

Again, best luck in building-up m8.

@everyone: Does anyone use a rakeback program?
when i first started out on the cash tables i was also playing 2 tables, worked very well for me 2, but it took a lot of time and patience to finally move up the stakes about 3 months i think it was.
after i built my roll up i started playing 3/4 tables at once and i saw my bankroll grow every session i played, but 4 tables got a bit 2 much for me, i couldnt keep track of what was goin on at all the tables at 1 time and started to make mistakes so i just stick to 2/3 tables now.

table selection is more important than ppl think on the cash tables, u got the right idea in selecting the tables with the hightest pot average for a tight aggressive player.
once i saw a table with a pot average of $180 on a $0.25/$0.50 table! lol i thought "i gotta get on that table" but i had no chance coz there was a waiting list of 8 ppl on a 6 max table

about the rakeback program, ive serched everywhere for a program for everfeaf and cant seem to find 1 anywhere, the only rakeback sum of us players get is the 1 that lava offerd a while back so ull have to get in touch with him to find out (no chance these days) lol

A good piece of advice I would give to anyone starting to play on the cash side is know when to leave a table.
If you've just taken 2 players out with a killer hand and tripled your pot don't feel you have to give them chance to win it back. Get outta there, bank your winnings and find another table.
Similarly if you're having no luck and not enjoying the game, bank your money and have a rest or a few days off, it's too easy just to throw your chips away cos you're fed up.

yep sum good advice there m8, also if u do have a gd session and build a big stack like sandy said, be careful of other players at the table with a simular size stack as urs, u dont want to loose all ur winnings in 1 hand just before u leave! all that hard work would be for nothing.
