Default Ultra Outlaws etiquette

Just started playing Ultra Outlaws again, and I am a little surprised to see players folding once it is down to the top 3.

Anywhere else I have played, when there is a shared payout, once that point is reached, everyone goes all-in just to get it over and done with.

I've got top 3 a few times this week, and just gone into all-in mode, but if there is a majority that prefer to play out those last 3 positions, please let me know, and I will adjust my game accordingly.

Baffles me too, nothing to play for once you've won your ticket. And funnily enough, often the player who folds in final 3 is happy enough to shove UTG with A+rag 1st hand.

This also happens on the cash double up tournies where the top three all double their money, bit frustrating but not as bad as the players who just leave the table once they're in the top 3.

I usually just go all in, but if there is another player who wants to play it out then I'm happy to do that. p.s. all feedback is good if you get my drift !

OK, 4 replys, 4 all-inners, I won't worry about it in future unless there is a rush of players saying otherwise.

I don't think it matters which way you are. I personallyl ike to play it out unless I have somewhere to be. If I have somewhere to be I all in and if opponent folds a few times I'll sit out. You're either a sit outter, an all iner, or a keep playinger. It doesn't matter which, but you can't get mad at opponents for not being the same as you. I hate it when I get b****ed at for shoving crap when someone wants to play or folding when they shove. If the tourney doesn't auto stop that leaves choice for people to do whatever they want.

The reason I keep playing when I do though is just for practice (and maybe pride). I'm usually playing for fun, and fun doesn't stop when I win something. Just how I am though, and I completely understand where others are coming from.

ALL IN, once you have reached the object of the game, for all intents and purposes its over if the top 3 places all pay the same, whether its cash or a voucher, get it over and done with and move on

Here's the thing. If you prefer "all in", that's fine. I just don't agree with assuming everyone else should be forced to have the same opinion. If it TRULY doesn't matter, what's to stop you from just checking sit out and close the window? If it's anything along the lines of wanting closure and seeing if you can lucky dip yourself to a 1st place, can you really blame someone else for wanting to play it out. I mean usually the stacks are short and all ins are coming anyway.

Duke, I don't want to assume anyone should play a particular way. I just wanted to gauge what the mood was of regular players.

If there was a majority consensus that it should be played out, then I would respect that, but most seem to accept all-in.

Ultra outlaws and etiquette in the same sentence... lol. The most non-pokery (yep new word) tournament.
On a serious note though....I dont mind, all in or keep playing...either way is fine with me.

yeah I could tell by your original post that you came in not assuming anything. I was just talking about other players that I've caught complaining about it in the past.

The only problem I have with Ultra Outlaws, is I am winning vouchers quicker than I can use them !!!

Registered for 06:00 Outlaws earlier to use a voucher and there was only me and StJimmy, cancelled, grrr.

Just played in a $5 double up. As soon as three players were out, I'd won my double up and went all-in, as I always do. The other 2 players folded initially and then one of them followed my next all-in while the other player folded again. Not sure if some people are unaware that there's no 1st,2nd or 3rd in these games or as previously posted, just like to play out the game.
