1st Ever game of Omaha

Hi i just finished playing my first ever game of omaha in a tournament.I came 18th im very happy with that.I didnt realise i had signed up for omaha i thought it was texas i didnt realise til i thought i had a flush but the computer said all i had was apair of eights then i went on google and asked for rules lolI lasted well was up to £3000 at one stage as i went all in and two other people went all in too .Dont ask me how i won i think i was lucky.I went all in with 3 tens at the end after the flop someone else went all in his queen came in last card.Well done to him
As well as my first game of omaha this is my first post so i just want to say hello and il look forward to meeting you on the tables.(texas not omaha)(lot of learning to do )

yeah i play both also,i find omaha harder to call though.still, i finished 11th in big tourney last night.=^)

an obvious tip is to read the rules of any game before playing,there are variations of omaha and playing withou t being aware of the rules could lead to both frustration and you giving up your chips too easily cood luck and remember to enjoy the games you play in

i played my first omahe tourney properley last nite..finished 51st cos i went all in by mistake and got whipped...still trying to understand the hands but think i might play a bit more to see if i get any better........lol
