| It was my first week on here playing Poker. Mind you before then, i have never played poker in any way or form, learnt everything i know on this site....Thanx guys. Anyway, I was just checking out all the rooms, and thought the Omaha was like any other table and got in....man , the look on my face when i say the first hand...priceless, and I said to myself " what the f' is this, hey guys what the hell in the world is this" anyway, then too , i did not know that no one was even hearing me anywayz. After the 2nd hand , I all'd in and got the hell out, never been back...maybe someday after I am sure I am capable. ![]() |

| Omaha takes a while to get used to, specially if you have been playing Texas. To sum it up, you use 2 cards from what you are dealt, and 3 from the whole\table cards to make your best 5 card hand. I generally play omaha, and get confused going back to Texas now. Lol Try it again and I'm sure you'll get used to it |

| As Tigger said you use 2 from the 4 that are dealt to you and 3 from the board. Alot of people make the mistake of thinking they use more from there hand. Its just a case of paying more attention to both your hand and the board. On Omaha (in general) a pair, 2 pairs and 3 of a kind rarley win as there are so many more cards out there so its mainly straights, flushes, full houses etc. It does take a while to get the hang of but dont give up it can be very fun good luck ![]()

| I played my first Omaha today and got a third! It is like hanging crown molding thinking ( Backwards and upside down). I thought it was very interesting way of looking at poker (outside the Texas Box). |
