how to play 7 card stud

i have searched the forum and couldn't find any guide to this game so thought i would post one.

we have one 7-card stud table here which sadly is very rarely used i played this game for the first time a week ago and i really enjoyed it and highly recommend it, it's good fun!
tonight i managed to rally round a few people and the table was quickly full with ppl who all enjoyed the game, whether they were experienced or were playing for the first time.

so come on guys... hopefully this post will encourage enough ppl to play that soon there can be a 7-card stud mini-tourney

1. All players put in an ante.


2. The dealer deals each player two cards face-down (called hole or pocket cards) and one card face-up.

3. Everyone looks at their hole cards.


4. The player with the lowest card showing face-up has to put in a small bet called a "bring in."
Then betting continues to that low-card player's left. Each player can call, raise, or fold their cards.


5. Another card is dealt to each player face-up: known as "fourth street" or "the turn."


6. Another round of betting occurs, starting now with the player with the highest cards showing.
(From fourth street on, the player with the highest cards showing will continue to be the first to bet.)


7. The fifth card (fifth street or the river) is dealt face-up. More betting, then the sixth card is dealt face up. More betting.


8. The 7th (final card) is dealt face-down. A final round of betting occurs.


9. The player who can make the best five-card hand from the seven they were dealt, wins. ..HOOORAH WOOOHOOO!!! CHIPPIESS!!

hee hee nah i didnt forget google... that's how i found this out...

..just figured the forum could do with a guide cos there's an omaha one.. and more than half of the ppl i asked tonight if they wanted to play 7-card stud replied with something along the lines of...
"HUH?! Play what?! What table?!!"
