Arrow Question to all Omaha players

Ever since I have started playing Omaha I have noticed that more and more gradually I am getting worst at texas hold'em... I got to 1 million from playing hold'em and now every time I play I lose. Has this happened to anyone else? or am I just weird LOL

Also I would like to know if anyone is just happy where they are? I am still happily sitting on a million with no desire to move, but I keep reading everyone trying to get to 2 million or top 15, or gold, silver etc... am I just not competitive enough?

Im happy as long as i have enough chips to enter any tourney.. Im currently on about 15 mil. As for playing omaha.. I have played a few times.. I would say it makes you a less tight player in holdem as you learn to take more chances,.. sometimes silly ones.. good luck,.

I myself got to 1 million chips this week, after about 2 months playing here, then it took me about 3 days to reach 2 million. I play an equal amount of Texas Hold'em and Omaha, and I don't feel that it has worsen my game in Texas, maybe it's just you? sorry

need to update lol... just won the 40k turbo (only because all my omaha games were full...) can't believe it lol, looked like i was gone all the way through then won.

Also want to clarify, I don't aim for higher.. I win regularly just like I lose.. and I play Omaha more often because I find hold'em boring now... just like to stay on top of the taxman.. now up 1.3 mil, don't care though... will be back to a million in a couple of days lol just where i like to be

They're both different games requiring different approaches and strategies...I hated Omaha at first, but now I think I kinda prefer the way you have to decide whether or not your hand is worth playing or not before starting!...

Chips are nice, but are a means to an end...I started off with nothing...made 2 Million easilly enough...and lost most of it just as quickly...Jeeze in a month I recon I've paid over 800000 chips in the 5% tax!...Chips I could well be doing with now!...Then blowing a Million chips in two Big Mammoth games doesn't help your chip stack any!

Have fun PP and just play your own game for your own reasons...Everyone seems to be getting better in here...which is making playing all the more enjoyable...Keep playing and keep enjoying yourself...that's surely the main thing?

All the best...Sox xxxx

I have the same problem i didnt play holdem for about a week gave it a go last night and lost 4 games going out very early indeed which for me is rare as im normally very picky about what hands i will play.

In Omaha i always fancy my chances of making the final 3 because the aggressive players dont worry me at all i just play my own game and wait it out.Winning the tourney however i struggle with at times tight players really sucker me in and make bad calls or raises and there normally the ones i meet in the final 3.

As for being happy where i am, im more than happy made a million not too long ago and decided after that whatever else i got was a bonus now im at 2.2 million or something.I only plan on playing Omaha now anyway so i dont see me getting much higher but im playing the game i have the most fun playing and thats all i care about really.Aslong as i have enough to play im not gonna complain.

i play both..and i did notice that my hold 'em skill were hurting...but then i did learn to take a few more chances with the smaller cards i would never play...but now its taken its turn for the worst......i'm a loose player in omaha knowing i have more outs, and a tight player in hold 'em...

I also tend to play much more looser in omaha, and more conservative in hold 'em- and on the whole, hold 'em for me is considerably more profitable.
The styles it takes to play the two games can be very different to one another, so it can seem that a person can be more profitable in the short term in one game than the other. But long term, hold 'em for me.

I was 1st introduced 2 playing texas hold em then i gradually started trying omaha and i am great at omaha. I hav also become worst in hold'em because in omaha you expect to get a pair every single hadn and probably more than that so after playing omaha for a while you sorta get stuck with that and play realy loose in holdem

On old site i seemed to have a losing streak for 2 or 3 wks, so i went on Omaha, by mistake initially..sat in wrong 1k, tourny..so thought id try it...i won HAHA....then later another 3 games in a row....after that i was addicted to Oma....and was winning more on that for while....didnt play texas then much...but i never got passed 306k on old site .........on new one i seem to win more.....but im not as keen on the omaha tables as i was on old site... i dont play them as much, as i use to ......and ive no inclination to get millions, as long as i have chips to play im happy with that....i have been on losin streak for 2 days again now.....but i might pick up again....as i think this happens to most players, every now and again .....

I played the 30k mini quite a few times on the old site and loved it.
I usually did quite well.
The best was the weekly big Omaha tourney on Super Saturday as I used to call it.
What with the Weekly Mammothe Bazultra Turbo and the Weekly Omaha what a day and would love for them to come back.
As for the question, no I don't think playing Omaha changed the way I play Hold'Em. Rubbish anyway.
