Paul Young Joke

I seem to have had a joke removed that went under the title "Credit Crunch".

The joke was no way offensive to anyone - and its a joke that made me giggle (although thats not difficult)

I have repeated it here as i am intrigued to know why it has been removed - please throw some light on it. Maybe no one else finds it funny but i am sure people of a certain age must see it

"Due to the credit crunch and the housing crisis the building societies are thinking of repossessing Paul Young's hat".

It does give me a giggle grove m8 (maybe cos I'm 41 and old enough to get it)
I can't understand it either but I had a joke pulled a couple of days ago which I did not think would cause offence to be honest.

Superbird - you are same age as me so maybe thats why you also get it.

For the ones who dont get it - it is a reference to an Eighties hit called wherever i lay my hat thats my home by Paul Young - although originally by Marvin Gaye. I couldnt use the Marvin Gaye version in the joke as he is dead and therefore probably doesnt have a hat anymore anyway.
