Default Rules Concerning Bluff Links

Bluff link may be used to send to family and friends as an introduction to the site. You can use any blog or other forums as long as it won't be considered as spam there!

Bluff links are not to be disguised in any way, only the way it is now written (3 choices but more coming).

Bluff links are not to be posted on OP66 forums, chatrooms, profiles, or private messages, with the exception of Outlaws City Forum, or as a Signature Line, as this will be deemed as spamming and penaltys will apply.

Special case : You can send it through private message or instant message to the players you know personally but any complaints could trigger an infraction or even a ban in case of repetitive trys.

I was unsure of the rules of bluffin...

Though there is a flaw in it as each of us could hav our friends voluntarilyclick on ur bluff link once each day, thus not reflecting a true bluff but offering an opportunity to help a friend to the top of the toplist and get free creds for ur friends (I had a friend test it). I'm honest and hav limited friends in this scope of interest (who too are honest)...

But what of those less trusting and have many friends??

Can the toplist to be trusted?

Ty for the clarification

Cheers

Well thats up to them if they click on it.

The rules are there for every1 and so it doesnt become to annoying and abused as it has already started to be a pain.. we seemed to get rid of the credit beggars and got the bluff link pains who would at any opportunity post a link and I personally found it annoying

Personally i don't think the bluff link should be sent to any mods via PM, had a couple saying they need help and it's a bluff.

I'd rather not have to think is it true, do they need help or is another bluff every time i open a pm and see a link in it.

the new rules specify that no one can send the link through PM to someone who would consider it as a spam... It's obvious that asking help through PM and adding the link is an infraction to the rules now.

Hello All:

I has been suggested that the new rules concerning bluffing are not reasonable. I suggest that the reason for the rules being there are more important to understand at the moment and once you do, they will seem very reasonable.

Specifically for the Moderator team, we have had some issues with the bluffing in private messages. Some, and I will not say who, have found very creative ways to disguise the link within a Private Message.

I have received quite a few of these messages with titles like "Check this out", "More inappropriate adult content on forum", "Spamming again". Well as a Mod part of my responsibility to our community is to check these things out and take appropriate action.

Now the first time it was cute, hey I really got bluffed. But the next 50 or so times it becomes no joke. Now instead of dealing with real issues within the limited time I have to attend to the players, I am chasing bluff links.

So I hope you can all see where this would become an issue for anyone, but especially for those who are charged with keeping the site under control and welcoming.

So with that said, I hope now you all understand the need for the rules to curb some of the more creative uses of the bluff game.

Just a reminder to all that bluffs cannot be disguised as other links anywhere on the forums etc, except for the bluff thread, have seen some lately disguised in forum sigs, just the link itself may be displayed only, or we will have to remove them. Thanks

Aus
