2010 Spring/Summer Party

Hi all

Its that time of year again when we need to start planning our next party.

After the last one a few of us chatted off our hangovers and thought that attending one of the casino nights at a hotel would be a good idea as they normally provide, a disco, food and casino for a nominal sum over and above the room rate.

Of course we would do the usual and book a room at the hotel for the Friday night so we can have a game amongst ourselves as well.

Would people be up for this ?

Shaun its not at a casino its in a hotel a casino night, I think you just have to be 18 but I will check with the venue when we decide on one.

If its agreed that a casino night is the way we want to go I will find out where and when they are held it might be that we do this later in the year (out of wedding season)and someone will need to come up with something else for the spring/summer.

OK Just to bump this Ive been on the net and rang a few hotels inlcuding the Westmead none of them are doing a casino night until September (after main wedding season as suspected)

Due to the lack of interest and unavailabity until later in the season has anyone else got any ideas I will keep an eye on the situation for a casino night later in the year.

BETTY/SALLY our party girls or anyone else any ideas I can help out if needed but will concentrate on the mid winter one.

i think its time the venue moved somewhere else so others can have a chance of going none of the northeners have been able to get there so far...(except for tony who'll go anywhere as long as theres a bevvie involved ) and that was the original idea of OP66 parties...to move them around and keep it fair.

i'm gunna be really biased and say here in Liverpool...or Manchester? (i'll take some holy water )
we were supposed to be having a scottish night and an irish night...its a only fiver to get to ireland if you book about a month in advance...i reckon we go for one of those, only to be fair on everyone and theres enuf irish and scottish to be able to sort it out...?
i'm up for anything...but wud rather not do birmingham again

i thought tel was orginising a big poker event in his social club in the summer time...

I was trying to organise one a few months ago in Glasgow but had to cancel it due to personal reasons ....i dont mind trying to get this going again if there is enough interest...still got a list of all hotels and prices around the town centre for easy access from the main train station....

But i really dont mind where we go...as sally said

tel was thinking about trying to organise a charity poker weekend after wimbledon tennis has finished, dont know if this is still a goer?
