About worldwide Op66 Parties & travel...

Hi,

I'm really pleased to see such a new wave of OnlinePoker66 meetings and would like at first to thanks and congrats all the people who've been involved and will be involved in organization, it's really a warm feeling to see that lines of codes on a website (even if bugged ) can lead to that!

We can't sponsorize those events much more than from sending a few Tshirts each time, it's the financial reality here & we need to focus on hiring technical services at first BUT I'm sure those events could be much more opened with just a bit of international logistic thinking.

Here is my idea :
For the ones who would attempt to fly over the world from their town to event location we could make a specific thread where they could have 2 things...
1) Full help from Travel agency to find the cheapest and easiest way to travel from point to point. (I'm sure we have a few members very good at that, if not I can find a travel agency genius, in addition sharing cars or even bus is a possibility too for a next future that's why such thread could be handy...)
2) On site help about accomodation, including possible free accomodation offered by local members. When you are travelling thousands of miles away from home it's not often for only 1 night and the prize of the full trip could go very high without some advizes & help from locals : I'm sure that point is the major issue for many members.

Just my 2 cents... I'm good at coding poker role playing games only

this would be a great idea...a few people got to birmingham and then realised they could have hitched a ride with someone from their hometown..or even to and from train stations...sharing hotel rooms was another add on as there were some last minute additions to the party..very good idea for the forum Lava if this is to be an annual thing...

any over seas player looking to travel to australia i'm only 3 hours away from Sydney airport and have anough room for a couple and a single or 2 singles you are welcome free of charge (just don't trash my house)or you will be out with the cows and sheep, dogs i can pick you up from airport this is mainly for op66 oz wombats party.(OP66 the friendliest poker site)

What about that setup : The organizers of each party will be the ones creating the "Travel & Accomodations help" thread for each party, where they you could edit the first message each time by listing clear tips and local accomodations offers.
Having a main thread for that per party would focus travel agency gurus & local people on the same spot...

Aussie op66 party poll Matador has listed a prize range yet... Are you talking about the same party? You should check with Bobble & Matador I haven't yet read carefully all threads sorry.

This is a great idea lava i was just looking into this for member who would like to come an are from abroad.

As i'm at the 1st stage i will wait a bit 2 see how many ppl would like 2 come before i di any thing else.
