I voted for all Las vegas dates. Only a for hour drive for me and my big sister lives there.
A free place to stay means more cash to play......

I would also be happy to help with anything just let me know

October in Vegas is a possiblity for me. A question i have and maybe it has been posted, is the party planned for the strip or downtown? The strip has more to do and doesn't cost that much more than downtown.

The exact 'where' has not yet been decided.

All suggestions are welcome seeing as that will be our next step.

Don't forget there are alot of nice places just off the strip that could be very affordable and still be within a short walk of the strip or monorail. The weather in Vegas in October is generally quite pleasant to walk around outside in (if any of us can be pulled away from the poker tables).
I personally really like it Downtown, but whatever everyone decides is fine by me.

We should stay at the rio it is a great place to play poker and it is a short walk to the strip.
They have the best buffet in vegas and the rooms are not to expensive.

Majority rules we said so I guess you can start looking and booking. I'm going to start looking this weekend seeing how the government just recently gave me some money.

I as well am going to start looking into everything this weekend...probably Sunday.

I'm going to check with some hotels as well to see if we can get a good deal on a group rate.

What I'll need though is a rough idea on how many people are going and how many rooms we'll need.

Please post here or pm me to let me know who is going and if you will be bringing any guests.

Okay people...I need your help.

I am not familiar at all with Vegas. It has been suggested that motels right off the strip are less expensive, but I have no idea what is considered the strip, and I don't want us to end up on the 'wrong' side of town.

All hotels that anyone has experience with within a reasonable price range please state here.

I also need a general idea of how many people are going...so please, it is very important that I get your responses ASAP. May have to start a new poll for that as well.

Also, thank you Betty for your advice...it is greatly appreciated.

As advised by Betty, instead of trying to reserve a meeting room, it would be best if we just found a common meeting place close to where everyone will be staying. I'm guessing that the hotel bar that most would be staying in will be best.

Breezy, try the web site above. Treasure Island is a fairly cheap strip hotel that is close to everything. The other end would have the Luxor, Mandaline Bay, Excalibur which are on the inexpensive side of things. There is a tram that goes from Bally's to the Luxor so anything there would be easy to get around.

Just let me know witch hotel the majority will be staying and I will be there.
Some of the cheeper ones would be the sands, stardust, circus circus, treasure island, and the frontier,
But anything under $150 a night is ok for me.
