Smile great weekend!
Just a post to say what a great weekend it`s been. met up with hands11, kev, baz, cuddy and 637724. we headed off to casino for a friendly game, (i made a few quid), then baz was kind enough to treat us all to din din`s. then back to casino for a few more friendly hands, (won a few more quid). but then sadly, cuddy had to head back. then we all registered for the cash poker table, buy-ins were £50-£250, so i thought id buy-in with £100. WHAT A BUZZ!!!! my first ever proper live poker game, and i loved it. i would recommend it to you all, great fun, and certainly gets the old ticker pumpin! i was lucky enough to walk away with £258, so that paid for the whole weekend. we had a few games in local pub this afternoon which was a good laugh (made a few quid). which baz had the ingenious idea of using raw plugs for chippies lol (we couldnt play for cash in pub). cant wait for the next mmet up...

hi jim, glad you home safe and ok.

yep awesome weekend, and i never fell out of any cars

ended up £20 down in casino, bought in first time with £150, my KK was wiped out by 8 5 o/s , yes believe it or not some guy called a £20 raise pre-flop with that, and flopped trips.

anyway had a break, bought back in and clawed most of it back, next time tho, will not drink and play

baz,hands and played till nearly 5am i think, then up for brekky at 8, i'm shattered now

great fun today at the pub, playing with rawplugs, we got some funny looks aswell

nice to meet all the lats an cuddy again

awesome weekend , nice games especial the one on the cash tabel

have to say i was sooooooooo unlucky every gd hand i had got busted by i over card

BTW..

jim,baz and me was talking before i left,and was talking about a weekend here on the sunny(GRRR ok raining) isle of wight.(poker at mine or hit the pubs)(or both)

can crash here as long as not 2 many, prob is tho will need to be very close to the party weekend,when wife away in Canada , as long as house dont get trashed i'm cool

Yah what a great weekend. I am glad you enjoyed the cash tables Jimmy I remember when I first played the cash tables and was in a nice pot. I remember my heart pounding and my hands shaking reaching for my chips lol. I also came back home last night and won 4k on the cash tables which really topped off the weekend for me. Those of you that couldnt make it you really missed out on a great weekend and a great laugh. Great to meet you all and I look forward to seeing you all at the OP66 party soon.

btw baz, i took youre advice, and tried the 25/50 instead of the 5/10 cash tables. what a difference, friendly folk who play propperly, and in 2 hours turned $50 into $135. i now understand why many peeps prefer cash games. i used to hate `em, but really enjoy them now...

Nice 1 Jimmy mate your a solid player in my opinion and I think you will do well in cash games. Doyle Brunson said that no limit holdem is the only true form of poker that is played. Only the best players are willing to sit down at no limit tables with real money and get it all in. Just remember br management and no drinking whilst playing and you will do well.
