Scottish night out - TAKE TWO

Hey guys n gals, i tried to organise this a while back but had to cancel it ....so im gonna try again. Looking to try and hold a night out up here in Glasgow some time towards the end of May (either 22nd or 29th.) I have already visited/phoned most hotels in the city centre but none are really that suitable....prices etc are ok but i couldnt manage to find a decent hotel where we could get a seperate room to meet in. (so some of you lot can play some poker while myself and others get blind drunk )

So i have spoken nicely to the owner of the pub i often drink in when i finish work and he said we can have the upstairs bar all to ourselves .....I am not suggesting we stay there all night but it would act as a good place for everyone to meet and have a few drinks/games before heading out on the Saturday night.

Would like to know who, if anyone would be interested in coming to Glasgow, (so us Scots can show you "lightweights" how drinking should be done)

The pub is right at the entrance to the main train station (Glasgow Central) so is very handy for meeting in and for anyone requiring accomodation there is a few hotels (cheapest being the premier inn) within spitting distance of the train station. (i will post links etc after i see if there is enough interest)

Now, being a guy, organising things is not my strong point so feel free to leave any suggestions etc and i will take them on board

Also if anyone would prefer to arrive the Friday night (21st or 28th May) let me know and i will try to be there for your arrival (as long as its after 4pm or my boss wouldnt be happy )

hi all

not been on the forums much in months so just reading up on this the now.

I'm down in London on May 22nd for a Wedding so the 29th May is a better date for me if this is still happening. Be great tae meet up wae all the ppl on here and put a face to the names lol.

Is this just for a pub crawl or are we playing some poker also? Bceause take 1 of the Scottish night out last year did Caldo89 not say that he could get us downstairs in Frankenstein's to get a wee poker tourney in there?
