Poll about Legend Points

Hi,

as explained there About highest play money ring games we won't have highest ring games as before.
Such issue will make it harder (if you don't play SNG) to hit the legend points toplist and I think it would be good to make a poll about lowering convertion for Legend points : could look unfair for the ones who have spent weeks scoring their chips but building a good play money side pass through a live challenge in my opinion.

Feel free to post here your point of vue.

i'd say keep at 5 million.

1 reason is if you win a 10 seat sit&go, prize is close on 5 mill chips anyway

ok,, before i vote i have a question about LP's and the 'conversion rate'.
i looked thru the other thread when they were first introduced and didnt see this directly asked or answered, so i wanna be sure. Most of the questions on that thread were about the actual first transfer and conversion of millions of chips into LP's, and how it was 'rounded up'...
so, now that we all have our LPs and chips, lets take an example in real time.. lets say a player has their maximum of 5 mill chips plus (x) amount of LPs. they then take 50K and sit down at a ring game and win 500K ( profit ).... they now have a total of 5.5 mill chips. but the max is 5 mill, , so do they now have another LP earned for that 500K in excess of the cap of 5mill?

sorry, i know this may be an extreme example, but i want to be clear about how they work exactly, and,,,,,if this is the case, then certainly the value of LPs should be 1mill to avoid exploitation of this 4mill + chip loophole, i would think.

fair enuff, tbh, but if they were valued at 1 mill, then this lucky winner would receive 5 LPs, correct?

yep true, but we could also end up with players having "hundreds upon hundreds" of LP's.
not necessaraly a bad thing,but makes sense to me to make them as hard to earn as possible, so they maintain "real value"

Mrcool : LP aren't automatically converted, for now we will soon have a thread for convertions and a tool for mod team in order to handle convertions until I'll have the needed script to automatize. It's easy : At anytime you can convert 5 millions chips into 1 LP and you can revert 1 LP into 5 millions only when below 1 million.

ok after careful re-re-re-consideration i think i'm finally understanding ...
my example only works for the FIRST time ,,, heheh,,, one still has to earn the rest ( and more ) of the 5 mill to get enough for another LP.

I'm probably missing the point.

But.

surely its irrelavent as to the conversion, as it is a conversion whether it be 1 LP per 1 Mill or 1 LP per 5 Mill its still relative to a conversion, the only time this would make a difference is for the people with current LP's, is that what the question is? whether the people with current LP's should have their conversion rate changed??

In my opinion (poker novice) it should be made as hard as possible to get sooo many chips, personally I feel the reason for such a high table bingo rate is due to not only being able to repetetivley reload but due to the current huge amount of chips floating around, I suppose exactly the same as a currency affects market, sorry for rambling on and will shut up now, but hope it makes sense.. I'm still not sure what the LP's are going to be used for, or am I missing something?

Now this isn't gonna make sense, but even though I'm not sure on that point, the point Kev makes about making them hard to earn, to retain value in them seems to make a lot of sense.

Oh yea, by the way, I've got a lot of my old LP's in the shed still. I reckon they would still play OK to LOL.

Basicly 1 Legend Point is equivilent to 5 million chips.
Personally i currently have 4 Legend Points, so had 20 million plus chips on the old script and these were converted to LP's(Legend Points), and in future any time i accumulate 5 million chips i will have the option to convert them to 1 LP.
The LP's will then be used in the Top Lists, and basicly creating a Legends Toplist.
This keeps the Chips toplist from getting into crazy figures of hundreds of millions of chips.
And hence i personally have opted for 1 LP = 5 millions chips

I also think it should stay at 5 million and make it a little difficult to obtain. Lots of plays with millions and the LP's would be off the charts thus making it seem unattainable to beginners.

Im gonna go with changing it to 1 Legend Point = 1 million play chips.
That way it just a case of looking at the number to see how many LP's a member has, rather than multiplying it by 5.

Example: 225 LP's = 225,000,000
instead of 45 LP's = 225,000,000

Also,if a member can trade 1 LP for 1 million play chip then less chance of 2 members being on the same total of LP's
Example:
227 LP's = 227,000,000
226 LP's = 226,000,000

that's not the poll idea... the poll is about next LP not previous ones.
45LP=225.000.000 but to grab next ones you will have to score 1 million if you vote for 1 million
