| I wonder how strongly people on the site feel about the joke that we call professional sport. The recent fake blood scandal in English Rugby just about sums up the lengths professional sports persons will go to nowadays to gain success. Now we have the half man half woman fiasco in athletics, where will it end. Is it the ridiculous money paid to these drug induced winners to blame or the greed of the people advising them. where will it all end. |

| Its all about the money. Eduardo for exmple, Craig Gordon hit the nail on the head. He said he didnt blame Eduardo for taking advantage because not only of the bonuses to arsenal for reaching the knockout stages but his own personal bonuses. When there is so much at risk you cant blame clubs/players for trying to take advantage of situations. It goes on all the time.Blame lies with everyone involved really but with the growing popularity of sports (talking specifically about football here) its up to the governing bodies to keep up and ensure fair and equal competition. In the case of fifa, they are now trying (see Eduardos ban) yet are getting ridiculed by half of the footballing community. Come on fifa grow some, fine/ban these people as well for undermining your decisions. Cheating is unacceptable. |
