High Drama

Whatever your opinion of the game of baseball, and most Brits pour scorn on the game, there is no denying that last nights game between St Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers had drama in heaps. I'm not going into details, if you missed it hard luck, you couldn't ask for a better game in any sport.

Fred, here in the states they tell us its our national past time. I am not sure what that is suppose to mean but I think what our forefathers were trying to tell us that we better like it.
Baseball for me is good when you have a team that is competitive and hunting down a title. Ya, I am a band wagon fan of just about any sport. This means that when the team wins, I am all over it lol. Most people are like that as these high price athletes and rich owners prey on average fans for what money they have left.

After saying all that, that was a good game to watch last night and full of surprises as each coach scrambled to fill a void in their line-ups.

I agree fred!!! this whole series in general is one of the best in years.....

It's the same everywhere buddy, sportsmen are paid far too much and the ticket prices are ridiculous, you only have to take the Tevez situation in England, they fine him four weeks wages, 1.2 million pounds, more than most tradesmen would earn in their lifetime, yet he moans, it's got out of all proportion. The game last night had everything and was great TV when most TV is pure rubbish.
