Default Ireland cheated.........

omg ireland have just been cheated by
a blatant hand ball by henry right in the goalmouth
how the hell did the ref. not see that.
shades of maradonna.

Was watching it m8, absolute shocker.
It was in direct line of the Linesman, gutting to say the least.
By far they were the best team over the 2 legs.

It's sad that a professional footballer with that much talent should do such a thing. Not quite as blatent as "the hand of god" but even so it will be interesting to see if people outside of France turn on Henry , It's a shame that in many peoples minds that he will now be remembered for that one mad moment ,rather than the many moments of brilliance that he has given over the years. I was a big fan of his, but I must say he has now lost my respect.

Great shame for Ireland they did fantastic but there isn't a footballer around that doesn't cheat.
Rather than more and more use of technology heres a ground breaking idea. How about footballers start showing some sportsmanship and stop diving pulling handballing and generally cheating there way to success.
I know its a fantasy world, but it ruins a great game at time just like last nights.

Once again 'the luck of the Irish'....Can't put into words how disappointed I feel (be banned if I did), but unfortunately that's 'Sportsmanship' these days. I too had great respect for Henry, but not anymore. Strange his reaction at the end of the match, looked like he was on the team that didn't qualify or did he realise the magnitude of what he just done - Sad to say, but for a great player of his skill and ability, he'll always be remembered for this....

Pretty gutted for Ireland, unfortunately, with a place in the World Cup at stake players will resort to these tactics. I don't in any way condone what Henry did, i hate cheating of all forms in football. have to say I've lost a little respect for him.

watched the game last night, could not believe what i saw when henry handled, not once but twice an was allowed to play on.
so with fifa banging on an on about fair play, lets see some action an have a replay,to see if they adhere to fair play they talk so much about,is the way to go now if no action taken on this then the world cup loses my respect.

had to watch it on youtube disgusting. the way i see it unless ireland scored more than 3 goals there would be some dodgey decisions in the favor of france to make sure they got in, the games fixed.

fifa will only act on the refs version that he never saw the hand ball, whats needed is the french fa to say they are not happy with the result and henry handled the ball and influenced the wrong result and want a replay, cant see it happening but if they want fair play they should this is the world cup and france wont gain much respect with that result last night

henry i have lost all respect for you. sitting down talking to dunne he was like a child peeing the bed. he knew he done wrong and couldnt look dunne in the eye. pathetic person.PLus point!!!Video technology WILL HAVE TO be brought in now. how can fifa be so backward in this day and age. as for a replay. France have to say yes after the backlash from their own people never mind the wider footballing World.

i do believe it was an instinctive reaction, henry has anounced he wants a replay, knowing it will never happen, and to keep gilette and other sponcers happy.
it is about time football referees use replay technology, but sep blatter is having none of it..
i'm gutted for all you irish fans..
