I think he enjoyed his time at Liverpool, it was a good club for him to be at. But I believe that Owen's priority was England and Liverpool provided him with the platform to be England's #1 striker for 6 years! Liverpool fans appreciated Owen and his goals but they knew that England was his first love and on Merseyside, especially for players coming through the ranks it's expected that club comes first, not that I agree with it. And you are welcome to suggest that he's using Utd in the same way, as I believe he is. In his interviews, he talks about wanting to get back into the England squad for 2010 more so than any other player not currently in the squad and he knows that whether he's starting or making sub appearances that Utd is the best place to be to get back into the squad.

And Jockney, I hope he's in the squad as well! Not starting but always on the bench because he is always capable of scoring a goal. He caused a few problems when he came on on Sunday, setting up Valencia who hit the bar and also turning Carragher forcing him to take him down!

i find it comical that you say people booing him is understandable yet someone to be appalled by it is a OTT reaction.
